Ya I see that, but still the trigger is just travel, the S&W has a bit of travel to but no thumb safe is scary

Its more than travel on the trigger, the safety is supposed to stop things that aint finger shaped from pulling the trigger.

I give up. You're so desperate to excuse blatant negligence simply because of politics (I can't think of any other reason as you certainly wouldn't be making these asinine arguments if it were a righty who did this) that no matter how many times basic gun safety is explained to you, you're going to ignore it and say Baldwin wasn't to blame.

You put a gun in your hand it's your responsibility. Your entire argument is basically that he's an actor so the rules don't apply to him. Ok, if you want to go with that, fine, but you're not wasting any more of my time.

The S&W and Glock both work the same. The Glock trigger safety is basically if something were to snag the sides of the trigger, really IMHO not a safety as conventional thumb safeties go..

Key word... "guidelines". You go from not following a guideline to claim it's a criminal negligence when you don't.
That guideline is made up by a union that you don't even have to be part of. Do you understand a slight problem in here?

And I note, you dropped the whole charade of: not checking your gun and seeing if it's loaded / never point your gun at anybody.
    That too was just bs.

Because it's the job of the pilot to know if it can go from A to B. The job of the technician is that is flies the way it should. They don't check each other, unlike how you think that an actor must also be the gun expert on a set.

Is it? So when you're watching a movie and there is a scene where a gun is loaded, that's where you can spot immediately that they are using fake bullets? Is that what you're saying? Because that's just not true. They will be using dummies that look exactly like the real thing at that point.

    Politics? lol
My posts about this are absolutely not about politics.

The entire theme of always assume a gun is loaded and so don't ever point it at somebody / check your gun and see if it's loaded that you lot are spewing remains to be total nonsense on a filmset. They make one movie after the other with people pointing guns at other peoples faces. And even though they use CGI it remains the total normal custom to use real guns and load it with something to get special effects like that. Hence checking a gun and see if it's loaded remains a total waste of time for an actor. That's my argument, and you're simply at a loss.

Wow, your level of misinformation is at a critical overload. You not only do not understand the law, you don't understand anything about gun safety or movie production. It's like you're trying to say the opposite of any reasonable statement. It's pedantic and clearly political in nature.

I notice with some people it's ALWAYS someone else's fault :) Even when confronted with policy you still can't process the chain of procedure to eliminate a fatality. I mean seriously what more do you need :) But you certainly live up to to your chosen stage name though :)

Jesus tapdancing Christ son, I can't tell if you're playing a straight man for the jokes or not.

Knowing if its got fuel in it or not and if you'll fly or not, is analogous to knowing whether if you point it and pull the trigger gun goes bang and kills someone or not.

If monke have tool in hand, monke inspect tool. Monke can tell if bang go kill or bang not go kill because each look different to naked monke eye when monke looking at tool in hand.
Monke know what each look like. Monke can see large differences by inspection in hand and should make inspection of tool in hand since tool is dangerous and monke will be using it in way that can kill someone if tool isn't properly treated.

No one who understands acting and theater/film would blame an actor for a problem with a prop.

You argued that Baldwin had to check his weapon and never point a weapon at somebody. They arguments were refuted. You than jumped on a different bandwagon that a policy of a union wasn't followed. I agree that it wasn't followed, and when confronted that union rules are not required to be followed / it aint the law... you started to whine around. Maybe it's just you, that irrationally want to blame people because you don't like them.

Blaming an actor with problem with a prop, is like blaming an actor that the stage lighting fell on somebody or and a piece of scenery dropped on somebody... instead blaming the people whose job is to control that.

The way I approach my glock is the only time its safe is when there isn't a mag in it.

The thing that remains is that different people are responsible for different aspects. There is a person PAID to make sure the prop works as it should, and it aint the actor. So it's rather really obvious whose fault it is. In the same way it's the engineers job to make it fly, and the pilots job to get it from A to B. That's why the pilot is responsible for the fuel. They know where they are going, and not the engineer. How on earth can this be something like a surprise to you?

There are scenes all over to be found where actors fill their weapons with something. And you wouldn't be able to tell that them bullets are fake, you can only assume it is. So your idea that monke can tell, is false.

The person whose job is that the props work the way they should is the one whose bares the responsibility. They are lavishly paid for it. And that person aint an actor.

Again: Its analogous to the pilot checking there is enough fuel to not kill everyone on board in a crash landing. Its not his job to fuel the plane, but if he's going to take it into the air it pays to make sure its going to work as intended to and not kill people. In the same vein, its not alec's 'job' to load the gun but if he's going to point it at a person and pull the trigger (or even if he's just pointing it at a person or otherwise handling it even if not pointing it at a person) it pays to make sure its going to work as intended and not kill people.
How on earth can something like this be a surprise to you?

Again: MONKE CAN TELL WHEN IT INSPECTS THE TOOL IN HAND. NOT WHEN MONKE WATCH ON SCREEN DOES MONKE HAVE TOOL IN HAND. READ WHAT IS WRITTEN.

I have an interesting story about Glocks. Young and Dumb, my first Gun I ever owned and still do is a Glock 22 .40 caliber. I usually carried it with a Magazine in the Gun, but never a round in the Chamber and I wouldn't be here right now if I had. I was out on a Date one night with a Girl and she knew I carried a Pistol and asked if she could see it, I popped the Magazine out, but didn't rack the slide to see if a round was chambered, since I knew I never did that and handed it to her, so she's looking at it and something caught my attention outside, so I turned to look out the window and next thing you know I feel the barrel of my gun touch my Temple and it goes CLICK! I look at her and say WHAT THE F did you just do, grab it from her and from that day on I'm ANAL! about letting people handle any Gun I own. If I chamber a round and pop the Magazine out, it will still fire that round. Anyways! guns are never truly safe unless the Chamber is empty and the Magazine is out. The safety happens to be in the Trigger on Glocks. That was a learning moment for me and thankfully my Brains didn't get blown out the left side of my Noggen. Still gives me chills thinking about it.

IS this a cautionary tale about gun safety or dating safety? LOL.. Yes, I store weapons slide open though. Always have. So, you insert mag, and push button, ready to shoot. No additional racking required. And if there's a mag in it, i have the intention to use what's in the magazine.
