what would have been the motive?....and didnt this take place on set in front of hundreds of witnesses? Who owned the gun? Im coming into this a bit uninformed. I think Ill take a moment to goog it

During rehearsal, Baldwin said the film’s first assistant director, Dave Halls, handed him a revolver. Baldwin recalled Halls telling him, “This is a cold gun” – industry jargon for a weapon that is either literally empty or loaded with non-firing "dummy" rounds.

“Now, what happened there, and why he made that statement, and what the realities were, I have, again, I have no idea,” Baldwin said.

Lisa Torraco, a lawyer for Halls, has since said that checking the weapon was “not his responsibility,” and that “expecting an assistant director to check a firearm is like telling the assistant director to check the camera angle or telling the assistant director to check sound or lighting.”

how can he be guilty if someone told him it was a cold gun (a prop) and it was handed to him as a prop?

I thought prop guns all had barrel blocks.

Biden does have blood on his hands from the debacle withdrawal of Afghanistan. Even many Democrats agree that it was fluster clucked and thousands of people died because of his actions of an irresponsible withdrawal.

I'm not, however, saying I would ever take pleasure in any human being being dismembered unlike yourself. Only an absolute monster would take such pleasures.

I doubt a gun like that would be allowed to be used on a film set because accidental misfires would mean filming stops and then they have to start over.

Have you ever fired a double action revolver? It requires a conscious effort to get them to fire. HE is the final safety check, HE pointed the weapon at another person which even a gun with blanks you do not do as it still sends out fire and particles.
Probably going to be a gross negligent homicide charge. That could mean jail time.

For Baldwin, what he was holding was a prop.

Props do not fire live rounds. What he was holding, was a hot weapon. Anyone with any training would have inspected the weapon WELL before pointing it at anyone. There should have been a certified NRA instructor there to ensure the safety of everyone. Not some greasy haired 20 something that has zero experience in weapon safety.

Props are handed to actors by someone in charge of props. That is the person's job. An actor's job is acting, hopefully in character. It is in a context of artistic creation, not "the real world". Of course, this is so obvious that the reasons for trying to state the situation otherwise can only be nefarious.

I think he's a psychopath. It wouldn't surprise me if he shot her on purpose, especially if the pretty young woman had resisted a previous sexual advance.

Being rejected by a girl often triggers narcissistic psychopaths to rage and violence.

My understanding is it was a single action revolver.
BUT, a single action revolver still must have the trigger pulled to fire. Even if the hammer were to slip from under his thumb, before reaching the "full ****" position, the half **** notch would catch the hammer before it struck the round in the cylinder.
Which brings me to the question that has never been answered, as far as I know:
Why were there ANY rounds, blank or otherwise, in the revolver for rehearsal?
There was absolutely no need for the cylinders to be loaded, in any way.
The failures in this tragic event wete multiple, the ammo on set, the live rounds being loaded, the lack of double checking the cylinder, the dropping of the hammer, intentional, or otherwise.
Just proves, a bunch of Hollywood clowns know NOTHING about firearms.
And now a young woman is dead, due to multiple layers of ignorance.
But please, keep on providing us with your incite on controlling "gun violence".
