War is usually a cost/benefit calculation. "The warmongers in the United States Congress are not aware of, or they're blind to the fact that what they are doing will bring about the type of war that will end America completely as a power in the world." Louis Farrakhan For warmongers and Barbies math is hard.
I don't understand the question. The unrestrained pummeling of China by our stealth bombers will not damage America's power in the world by even a little bit.
And you know this how? When Trump left office, we were not prepared to leave by May 2021. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/sep/29/frank-mckenzie-doha-agreement-trump-taliban
It ends up costing soldiers' lives because it typically goes with be unprepared. Neo-isolationism was Trump's biggest international failing.
That seems to be the dream. Reality: The B-2 bomber program was apparently compromised by the KGB and its CIA traitor, Edward Lee Howard. “Arrest and execution After being captured in 1985, Tolkachev collaborated with KGB in hopes of reduced punishment. Over the next ten months, he fed the CIA with falsified information which the CIA gladly took since they had the utmost trust in Tolkachev. Data, which was “cooked” at KGB Lubyanka headquarters slowed down the development of US stealth bomber. Once Americans developed stealth bomber, codenamed B-2 Spirit, generals in Pentagon were shocked — their 30 billion dollars worth bomber was invisible only to US anti-aircraft systems. In 1986 Tolkachev was sentenced to death and executed. His wife Natasha was sentenced to three years in prison.” HISTORY OF YESTERDAY, The CIA’s Billion-dollar Spy, Adolf Tolkachev destroyed Soviet aircraft program, By Peter Preskar, 8/9/20. https://historyofyesterday.com/adolf-tolkachev-spy-5f85e000a063 Military intelligence assessments are frequently wrong.
That article isn't true, at least as far as B-2 vulnerability is concerned. What it claims is impossible. The laws of physics are the same for Russian radar as they are for everyone else's radar. But even if the article had been true, it would have nothing to do with the 145 new unmanned stealth bombers that we are building today.
@AARguy Just look! Witness. China believes in China and demonstrates a type of investment & planning that won't demonstrate "profit" for over a generation, such as the construction of the trans Tibetan plateau railroad. Maybe "we" should study them. Witnessed any great projects by the West lately. Singapore. South Korea. Taiwan, all work for China as economic power houses. I don't believe China would find their assimilation profitable nor enhance China's security. For decades China has been most practicable. Moi
And the Maginot Line worked. "Data, which was “cooked” at KGB Lubyanka headquarters slowed down the development of US stealth bomber. I give Trump his due. When he was right he was right... when wrong he was wrong. You seem to believe everything he did was wrong.
You're going to "relentlessly bombard" nuclear powers? Egads. We whipped Japan in the air, on the ground and on the seas. Hohhh-Kayyyy.
It did everything that it was designed to do. My current signature line is apt here: Countries that choose to think that our stealth bombers cannot harm them, are likely to end up being harmed by our stealth bombers. No. The right decision was to stay in Afghanistan and support their growth into a free-market democracy. They were right to think it. The United States Air Force will.
If war breaks out between the US and China, China's nuclear arsenal will be one of the first targets on the US Air Force's bombing list. True. But it was the fact that they couldn't stop us on the ground that made Japan ultimately decide to surrender. When we plowed through their defenses on Iwo Jima and Okinawa, they knew that there was nothing that they could do to stop us from going all the way to Tokyo unless they surrendered. That's what our tactical nukes are there for: To use if conventional force fails to get the job done.
Foreign policy? He was an extreme disappointment. I agree with his increased spending on the military and the pay increase (not enough, IMO). He did the same thing as his two predecessors--handed out personal tax cuts when we needed to give tax cuts for private infrastructure investment and spend more on public infrastructure. The metric for infrastructure investments should be whether or not they increase output. Republicans should not nominate Trump in 2024. People don't trust that guy.
If a state of war exists between nuclear powers, it will likely be a result of someone attacking us with nuclear weapons.
I doubt Iran could sustain a war very long. They have some missiles, patrol boats, proxies and terror cells. But they are fighting THE super power of the Middle East in Israel and THE super power of the world in America. In a full blown nucear war, which Iran appears to be courting, the USA, Europe and Israel could remove the top 10,000 largest cities in Iran within a few days.
The US will go to war with China if they invade Taiwan. We will keep the war conventional if we are able to defend Taiwan conventionally.
