If anyone runs an engineering company that specializes in upgrading bridges to take heavier loads postwar Ukraine is going to be a BIG client. :)

They're going to need their runways repaved as well. F-16s don't like them too rough.

They might also want to do the Singapore/Scandanavia trick & randomly make up stretches of straight road that are capable of landing jets in case their runways get cratered.

Honestly, Ukraine and Taiwan might be two countries who should buy the Saab Gripen. Normally, I would say it is an inferior aircraft but the ability to do short take off and landing on any roadway or flat surface would probably be valuable.

Everyone was upset about that after the original "Geneva Conventions" were begun in 1929. After WWII, the Geneva Conventions were update in 1949. And, here we are, over 70 years later with no certain punishment for countries that commit war crimes -- except for those countries which are defeated!

The Abrams aren't going to Ukraine. At least not for awhile. When Poland gained its independence it had Russian armament. Although it wanted to obtain Western equipment (NATO) it would have been a big undertaking and Poland had economic issues to deal with, having just become capitalist. So Poland continued to supplant its equipment with Russian made armament. But it has been pressing towards higher quality Western armaments. So now is the time.

The US will supply Abrams to Poland and Poland will give it's well maintained Russian armament to Ukraine. 1 Abrams from every 2 tanks Poland sends to Ukraine. In addition, Poland will be able to purchase as many additional Abrams as it would like at cost and the US will subsidize some additional so the defense contractors make some profit. Ukrainians will therefore get the much needed armor which they are already trained to use and Poland will get its modernized equipment. Some Ukrainians will train alongside the Poles on the new Abrams. It is a win-win. Eventually when there are Ukrainian squads trained on the Abrams if the conflict is still ongoing presumably they would get Abrams of their own (but that deal is still to be determined).

Who cares? Does Pink Floyd have anti-armor capability? Can Pink Floyd provide long range artillery fires or an air defense capability? If not, who the hell cares what Pink Floyd does or does not do?

    The video doesn't show it.

There have been a few cases of Iran's Shahed-136 loitering drones shot down, though not even remotely in the numbers Ukraine has tried to claim. Here is video actually showing a Shahed-136 drone being shot down several days ago.

Here is also report with a video of a different type of Iranian combat drone, Mahajer-6, reportedly shot down over the Baltic a few days ago. If true, this is the first confirmed kill of a Mahajer-6 drone in combat.

Don't worry. The Ukrainians are clever and inventive, and they have the support of the world's #1 military power along with many others. They'll have those drones neutered before too long.

I'm not worried. The US itself had a lot of problems shooting down these Iranian drones, despite all their focus in Syria and Iraq being on this task for the past couple of years. Lately, the Americans have claimed some progress to counter these drones, but even the US knows that such progress made cannot be translated to something meaningful in actual combat.

What's your point? Or do you just get hot and bothered thinking about Iranian drones being advanced?

My point is to better inform people who or grossly misinformed.

Iran produces a lot of advanced military equipment.

For years, I had raging debates in this forum about the accuracy of Iran's ballistic missiles, until the issue was finally settled in several strikes by Iran including against US bases in Iraq.

I have had similar arguments about Iran's anti-aircraft missiles systems, where I have said Iran's BAVAR and Khordad systems are superior to Russia's S-300/400...

There have been also clueless nonsense about Iran's drone capabilities in this forum and the Ukraine war allows us to compare fact with fiction.

I'm incidentally also very proud of the naval vessels Iran has been producing (destroyers, submarines, catamarans, expeditionary navy ships and carriers...) The pics below, for instance, depict the Shahid Soleimani frigate unveiled a few months ago.
