Not surprising, and since House Republicans were allegedly "dysfunctional" for not impeaching Mayorkas earlier I guess they're functional now

Personally, I think Quid Pro Quo Joe should have been impeached here instead of Mayorkas, but his turn is coming. President Puddinwits is responsible for the migrant crisis he orchestrated with his open borders policies and EOs, not his lackey at the DHS.

It should be interesting watching the senate now take this up. One wonders how the senate uniparty will react to being challenged like this.

This guy was DOA as soon as his braindead boss said the border was indeed not secure after making this guy say there was nothing to see here and the border was secure. Those under oath statements now going to come back to haunt him but Biden will use him as a fall guy to play dumb about.

Abbott should ship train loads of illegals to the district of any democrat senator who votes against this.

Has Mayorkas ever apologized for saying his agents whipped illegals?

Hopefully the Senate gives this as much credibility as it has and just ignores it.

The vote was hyper partisan and there was a bipartisan effort to prevent it after it failed the first time. I guess when cons don’t get their way just keep revoting. At least they were not flashing naked photos of the presidents son during this spectital.

Meanwhile Republicans have not passed a budget, refuse to negotiate on a bipartisan border deal, and have done nothing to address the concerns of Americans over inflation, cost of goods, education, healthcare or immigration.

Where do you get the idea that the Senate will ever take this up?

Teh GOP has no intention of letting this go to trail, and the Senate will clearly not convict.

The GOP just impeached the Secretary for nothing in particular.

An impeachment in search of charges.

A new low point in the GOP’s abuse of the Constitution for short term political gain.

There won’t be a trial without charges.

And there are no charges. NONE.

It’s just an excuse to empanel yet another witch-hunt committee to try and find some charges, so they can go on Fox, OAN and NoiseMax and fill your head with allegations.

Never mind that that hasn’t gone particularly well for Mssr’s Comer or Johnson.

It will never reach the Senate.

    It isn’t intended to.

No, he has not, and since he knowingly lied about the incident and called it evidence of "systemic racism" he defamed both the border agents and our country.

Now that you've pointed out what a dishonest piece of **** Mayorkas is, I'd say he got what he deserved....

Both parties have jumped the shark. They are worthless at
solving any real problems. It's just team sports.

We need a viable third party in this country.

Don’t you hate it when Trump disciples know that they’ve been called out on their BS, they just make up nonsense in response.

Sorry, but the GOP has two show hearings going on, both patterned on the noisy but fruitless Benghazi nonsense.

And, investigations into Trumps regular coordination with Russian intelligence, and his malfeasance on Jan 6th, were fact based.

They were also very well documented.

And in the latter case, resulted in criminal prosecution

You won’t hear a peep out of efforts to impeach Myorkis come November.

But you fell for it. And you won’t face up to the obvious fact that it is nothing but a political stunt.

They don’t even have a charge to level.

Boisterous virtue signaling from house republicans that will ultimately result in nothing happening‽ I can’t possible imagine such a thing happening.

Seriously, if Republicans actually believed the border was the threat they claim it is they would have passed that layup the Dems handed them. They don’t want action. They’re unserious clowns.

They got called out.....for acting like Demokrats. DAMN THEM!!

Actually, the Mayorkas impeachment hearing more closely resembles the Demokrats' sham impeachment hearings against Trump.

As for Corrupt and Demented Joe's impending impeachment, that appears to be the most legit of the bunch. Evidently, running an influence peddling operation has become a job requirement for prospective Democratik presidential nominees.

LOL - They were lie based, which is why Demokrats can't get their **** to stick.

And no convictions, which is the problem with the Alinskyites in the Democratik Party - their accusations aren't enough, even though they think they are.

Read the OP - I haven't fallen for anything.

I would agree that Potemkin President Puddinwits has got much bigger problems with the border disaster he orchestrated than Mayorkas' impeachment. Puddinwits is solely responsible for his incredibly unpopular and destructive policy, not his errand boy at the DHS.

The charges are posted in #5 above.

Because ignoring the invasion always works.... So, this is you actively supporting the invasion? The folks who are being enslaved in this country?

Seriously, if Biden and his open borders party wanted border security Biden would rescind the 64 EOs that caused the crisis he orchestrated, but they don't. What they want is open borders and taxpayer cash to pay for it, which is why they handed House Republicans their open borders wish list. What a bunch of childish and unserious clowns.

What a legendary abuse of the truth. Even for you. So generally ignoring the invasion of the nation is, as you called it, "nothing in particular".. You folks are amazing to watch.

Tell me you didn’t read the border security bill without telling me you didn’t read the border security bill. Seriously, it was a GOP wet dream and they shot it down because they know they need a fearful and angry constituency to win elections.

if by invasion, you were talking about the people that use congressionally approved amnesty processes?

I definitely agree that Congress needs to do something about this, unfortunately, we are left with the House Republicans that would rather posture for political points with their magapatriot base then actually pass any viable legislation.

Republicans and Democrats in the Senate came together to pass by partisan legislation in attempts to address this, it was completely shut down by a hyper partisan extreme majority in the house of representatives. This is on you guys

No one is going to be convicted, and the House can impeach all they want they are fools wasting the taxpayer dollars barking up the wrong tree, not to mention they are impeaching Mayorkas when they wouldn't even put the Senate Border Bill up for vote. Talk about sardonic irony

What they don't have are actual 'high crimes and misdemeanors', which, the constitution says is required. On that basis, the Democrat controlled Senate will dismiss the charges, and rightfully so, and the same would be true for Biden, who has not committed any 'high crimes/misdemeanors' per the spirit of the constitution as nothing remotely coming close to it has been provided by the Comer et al.

No, what the repeals did was elevate America's border policy as more humane, less cruel.

If cruelty is the method by which you achieve 'results', then those results are immoral and cannot be used as a comparative basis.

We must do the best that can be done, within a moral and humane framework.

One thing is certain, contrary to the complaints on the right, more resources must be allocated given the larger traffic coming to the border. However, Republicans refuse to do it, proving, once again, they are mere bellyachers and not serious about the problem. They just want it as a campaign issue and will return to their cruelty once in office, if they do win, which I doubt -- the right has been losing elections for a long time, now.

And, I already know your counter argument, so, fire away.
