looks like i have another stalker. Jet57 has been sending me harassing e-mails and the mods have done NOTHING
Lets not forget the British flag (Rev war), hey, and the German(WWIand II), ( or is that off limits, or History, or what?)
Change your EM address, get a new one and don't give it out, and forward the harassing EMs to the nearest FBI. Its what I had to do once, but it worked.
Lots of luck there. 2 emails is not stalking, nor are they harrassing. Wooper Stopper is just supremely rude and I called him on it. So, it's a nice try, but it won't wash. Sadly funny really.
Some people never learn. The rebs already got their asses handed to them for what that flag represents.
But don't you agree that this flag is just as much part of our History as anything else that we have documented, teach our children, have in museums? What does hiding it away change? Isn't it better to remind ourselves how far we have come? Instead of doing away with the Confederate Flag, why not have i.e. the mayor of Atlanta fly the flag high to show that we can indeed overcome? I guess it all depends on how you look at it.
Really? The argument is made that it represents slavery, right? Now we have a man of color in the WH, Atlanta, one of the hotbeds, has a mayor of color. It means that the flag is what was, and look at us now. Its part of history, then and now.
Anyone knowing my political beliefs would agree that I am 100% behind this statement. Just because a group demonizes a symbol that doesn't belong, or actually represent them, doesn't mean it stands for hate. We can't erase history, and personally I feel trying to is a stupid endeavor on our parts. The south may not rise again, but how can we learn from it, and the union at the time, if we stereotype and demonize the whole thing into a race battle.
Its part of History, and we have come a long way. What else you understand it to be isn't my beeswax.
Shows people are not as ignorant as they once we're, the internet is partially to blame for that. The net opened up the world and people talk from all over now, this board being a prime example. It isn't crazy to think stereotypes and assumptions about the confederate flag would die out with the wealth of readily sourced material proving it is not a symbol of hate (historians, journals, etc.). Also shows America is finally waking up and accepting it's history - the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can't learn from history if you only selectively learn the good bits.
Where are the black power flags lining roadways? I haven't seen any nor have I heard of any. What's more, I don't believe there are any. Please try to stay relevant.
