Yea, you have a point. You can't count on stupidity to disqualify a person.

      Okay, back time to :worry:?

      Nah, I can't. She's TOO :giggle: !!

Well, just hang in there. There are times I feel like giving up, the opposition seems so strong and determined and I feel they are gaining ground - then I see something in the news that gives me hope again, and I get all fired up, ready to do battle with them. In the grand scheme of things, I'm not sure it makes a difference, though! LOL!

You probably are a lot more patient than me. I've seen some of your posts and you don't seem to lose it like I do. It gets me into trouble - so I'm trying to exercise a little restraint, don't know if I'm succeeding, but lately I haven't gotten any warnings, so they are either missing my posts, or I am making progress! LOL!

I know. Most of us feel pretty safe knowing that no one knows who we are. I've not always been very nice on some of my posts and later feel bad about it, but sometimes I let my guard down and give in to the bait.

it would be difficult at best to realize that ones entire life was lived with false or skewed ideas and thoughts. it would be a lose of everything in ones belief system to see the world through new eyes. i guess we are just voices crying out in the wilderness of misinformation that continually go unheard. hugzzzz

yes they are. especially when they have a political lean and people can get together. i find it interesting that people fail to see the point you and i have been trying to make on that thread about closing churches. they wear blinders and do not see how much influence religion can carry in the political forum.

if we decide to make the trip i would surely let you know. it would be good to share a meal and some political chatter.

yes America certainly does not want the populous asking to many questions. they are becoming a nation of the blind led by big business and greed.

i think America has lost much of the freedom that that so much love. everyday the government infringes more and more controls on the people. they do not see this in the polling place. the people allowed the government to do many things to take away or disrupt freedoms after 9/11. the nation is on a slippery slope toward less freedom.

i think mandatory voting is a good thing. it may not be a solution to a full nation point of view but it helps. the US is a nation in apathy. the people for the most part don't care. the educational system is broken the education level is way down. the needs of many are unseen by the ultra wealthy.

it is a militaristic nation. they for the most part believe in my view the bigger the military the more respect. it is a nation afraid of losing something that is being stolen daily by laws.

maybe one day i will cross the water again and have a visit to Australia. i was thinking of that last year. my wife and i had talked about that trip.

SA is very secular. there are some tribal issues that get in the mix here. they have ruled as a nation without outside influence for a short time. these tribal matters are of old. Australia is more evolved in government than SA and is more secular than the US. i do see that SA is more similar to Australia than they are to the US. the Us has in it's constitution a phrase that keeps the government from starting a church as in Briton. the people though don't think that runs both ways they fail to see that religion should not start government. the founders of the US knew what they were talking about. they just didn't state it clearly enough.

I like Australia. i have been to Perth just once in my life. that was my only visit down under. i think you have more freedoms than the US. i lived in the US on and off for years. i still own land there.

i am currently living in South Afrika and was in Israel and France prior to this. the views are totally different in the rest of the world. Israel has a huge religious base and it does influence politics and we see the results. it is sad that these limited views get pushed on the rest of the people of these nations.

it is true that american religion is far worse than islam in the world. the americans have the power and the nature to push their views and inflame. the current conflict in Iraq is the American power trying to push it's views on the world. the US people don't see how the rest of the world sees them. The US is not popular with the rest of the world. I'm not sure where you live. but my being outside of the US i see this everyday.

it is one of the most religious nations in the world outside of the Islamic states. by religious freedom Americans feel that they can do politics in churches. they are wrong it is a bad mix.

Yep, not a stranger to this stuff. Worked in Iraq, helped in Katrina, and would have gone to Thailand for the tsunami, but was not able. This is the part of my job that I really love.
You have already done something that helps, and that's supporting the Haitians and our efforts in your thoughts and words. Trust me, that is more help than you know.
