    A man who doesn't step up and take responsibility? Yes. But we'll never know if the woman gets an abortion.

    If a man got her pregnant don't you consider him responsible for the abortion?

    Wouldn't sterilized men cut down on abortions? SURE it would.......:)

    No, because it was still the woman who chose to get the abortion. The man might have been willing to help take care of the baby.

    And I do encourage men to get vasectomies if they really do not want children. I'm not advocating everyone be sterilized just so abortions will end. Some people are willing to take the risk, and accept responsibility if they do have a child.

    I have to point out that it is not the man who gets a woman pregnant, the man is just a necessary factual cause in a serious of casual events that can lead to pregnancy. The only entity that can turn a non-pregnant women into a pregnant one is a fertilized ovum.
