2 Tea Party Republicans get the boot in Michigan after having an affair together and an attempt to lie to constituents.

Now, I used the term Tea Party Republicans for a reason, since in another thread there is considerable commentary about how Democrats are liars etc... in the whole Hilary email scandal.

I think people need to separate the partisan BS and just realize there is scum in both parties. Hilary shouldn't be a candidate much less president in my book. The same is true for several Republican candidates who refuse to use common sense or encourage people to break the law if they don't agree with it (Looking at Huckabee here)

People are getting so wrapped up in partisanship that they are making excuses over extremely bad behavior just because the person aligns with their personal beliefs, even if it's only spoken when in reality they are liars all the way around.

That's amazing that a legislator could get impeached and removed from office—essentially just for agreeing with another man's plan to distribute false and abasing rumors about himself.

Of course the real reason she was removed is because of the extra-marital affair, not looked upon kindly in Michigan, especially when committed by a public figure who should be setting a better example. Many Democrats were more than happy to comply to get a Republican removed, nevermind the reason.

This whole story is so convoluted that it would probably make a good movie… not that I want the real-life participants to make money on this weirdness!

Eh, main characters with moral problems, intrigue, the twist of a smear campaign using emails with bi-sexual overtones to mislead versus the public persona, conspiracy, blackmail, and politics …. there've been much worse story lines in movies.

Yes. Such behavior is only "OK", even applauded, if one is a democrat.
