    yep, agree, that is what I said, unplanned shootings are harder to address then planned mass shootings

    I support making machine guns and assult weapons harder to get, I do not support any restrictions on normal handguns and shotguns

    in fact, I even think ex-felons have a right to own a gun to protect their homes and families

    Odds are he stole the firearm just as 80% of all crimes committed with a gun are committed with an illegal (stolen, smuggled etc) gun.

    No one blames the knife when people get stabbed. No one blames the bat or club when people are beaten to death. No one blames the car when people get in accidents or hit someone. Rarely does anyone blame the mountain when people die while climbing.

    But for some reason the gun is always the culprit during a shooting, instead of the person using the inanimate object.

    Weird.

    Exactly, I've been involved with firearms for over 50 years and I have yet to witness a weapon discharge without human intervention. The only scenario of a firearm discharging without human contact that I could think of would be a loaded weapon/box of ammo in a fire.
