It's taken out of context. If you listen to the WHOLE (*)(*)(*)(*)ING SPEECH it's obvious the message is not that government owns all achievement, but society helps people out. Why don't you be (*)(*)(*)(*)ing honest with yourself.

We have all watched the entire speech. He said, you didn't build that, you didn't make that happen.

Its exactly how the left thinks, just like Elizabeth Warren and the lefts merry band of communists social justice lovers.

 

If you heard the speech, and you still think the entire point of it was that government owns all accomplishments, then you are just not intelligent. That's the only explanation.

Notice where the periods in the sentence are, that is the context of what he said, so stop your spin lies.

 

I have read the communist manifesto. If you read it, you would know that Obama is not a communist/Marxist.

 

Well, it is about spin actually. Obama is what we used to call a spin doctor. He delivers subtle and sometimes not so subtle themed messages in his orations.

This particular speech, the message within the message was that you can't do things without the government, which implies a few different things. One, growing that government isn't a bad thing by extension of thought (the biggest political debate on the planet atm, austerity measures etc) and two, you can only be successful if the government is involved.

Spin doctor, themed messages is what is being recognized by most people. Hard line leftists simply refuse to see it, or, are of the mindset that big government is the answer to all ills and successes of a society.

 

You did not read it anymore than Obama has never read the entire US constitution.

 

And roads don't help people succeed in a business? You forgot the part after words where he says "It's about people's individual initiative, but also because we do things together." If you don't think that businesses form because of a combination of these two things, and not just one or the other, then I guess we just don't agree but I don't see how you can disagree with that.

 

That's just interpretation, which is opinion, not fact. The fact is, he said "The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together." Usually when people say, "The point is" it means, this is the point I'm trying to make.

Society and government plays a HUGE role in everything we do. Would this young woman have made such an amazing project without an amazing teacher? Or if she had to worry about criminals and terrorists at her door? Or if she didn't have roads and bridges connecting to her home?

That's the point Obama was making.

But of course you know this. You're not dumb. Just looking to spit out a pathetic out of context sound bite to make Obama look bad. Anyone with a brain can see the only ones that look bad are the people who either purposely take others out of context or the people who believe stuff they hear completely out of context.
