It's hard to say. Men and women of power are very cynical people. They would be able of everything to comfort their position of power.
However, I'm may be wrong, fanatism can make people some weird things.
I'm afraid we will probably never know the truth behind that.

They should have used the correct term--Christian war fodder.

 

The sailors were seized in Iranian waters. I'm sure Iran messed up their electronics so they could take them as hostages and get their money back as was stated in the agreement with Obama. I'm also sure the banks refused to give up the money. Aren't they doing the same now with Venezuela? What a bunch of criminals.

As for nuclear weapons, Iran wants them to better its bargaining position with Israel. It is destabilizing in that Saudi Arabia and Turkey will want them then as well - and that's bad. At least Iran is not an aggressive nation, but the same can't be said of the others.

 

Iran is a major sponser of terrorists, I don't see how you can say "At least Iran is not an aggressive nation." The US and all Western nations confirmed that the sailors were taken in international waters.
The Iranians were simply lying - what they do best. What evidence do you have that Saudi Arabia and Turkey are more aggressive than Iran? Iran does not need nuclear weapons, she is not under any
threat of military action - as I pointed out, the US has declined to go to war when provoked, and Iran is already stronger than her neighbors. Israel does not directly border Iran and so could not attack
her unless she is willing to violate the air space of Jordon or Syria - highly unlikely. Of course, if Iran gets the bomb, her neighbors will need them for self-protection. The Ayatollahs Assaholas of Iran are
irrational and oppressive fanatics and surrounding peoples are understanably suspicious and nervous about them.

Ukrainians have tons of grievances of past injustices against Russia, yet we don't see them attacking Russians just because they're Russians. The "past injustice" tune, meant to demonize democratic countries and democratic values, has too many false notes to please an educated ear.

Since the local Buddist authorities knew an attack was planned and took no precautions against it, one has to wonder if they WANTED the Christians killed.

 

A 31-year-old woman named Anna Conkey was arrested yesterday for carrying her baby into a church in San Diego and waving around a pistol while threatening to blow up the church. She was
arrested and her child placed with protective services, along with a 5 - year -old daughter who wasn't present. The woman was inspired by the bombings in Sri Lanka.

 

We'll probably hear more about 'Christmas worshippers' being attacked towards the end of the year.
