we had doping incident in tracking and other sport in our history. is that mean phelp winning in 2008/now has something to do with doping? the incident you quote is from individual, and its not state sponsored. she was clear from drug test unless later they prove otherwise. ever heared of proving until guilty? links and prove of the chinese swimmer is guilty of doping. if IOC and british test can find any substance, it doesn't take a genius to know what it means here is a list of doping. there are alot countries did this including US, china, and many others
Americans do cheat, however it is not sponsored by the State. At the provincial level in China, cheating is encouraged. Did you bother to read the article on genetically modifying athletes? Doping tests wouldn't indicate anything. Given China's already dubious record on doping, known State sponsored cheating practice...and win at all costs ethics...suspicion should be raised.

its all speculation and assumption. we had record on doping too, should other country suspect phelp is cheating too. yes i read the article, and its sound like BS. genectically modify humans. even US/europe are not that advance in genetic let along china. you read too much stuff that border line on sci-fi and conspiracy. you need to get into reality, genetic science has not advance to the level of human gene modification. if it does, we should have cure for cancer by now, and get rid all the genetic diseases by now. so by your logic all the record breaking athelete are doping since we can't trust IOC and other faction on their drug test. youre conclusion are base on your theory of assumption, bias, sterotype, and previous incident of other country/race. if we flip the other way china can also say the same for phelp and other american athelete who break the world record base on our doping history, assumption, etc etc. the fact speak lounder than these accusation, and they are many coach/swimmer around the world, and drug tester say she was clean. until they find trace of drug, she remain clean
It's not me making the allegations, I haven't watched but about 10 minutes of the Olympics aside from the opening ceremony. It's folks in the competitive swimming community, folks who know their stuff thinking the performance was enhanced. I don't attribute it all to "envy" either...it's folks in the know who question the performance as being enhanced in some way. Sports science has come a long way, and genetically modifying a human being is beyond science fiction, it is science fact.
So funny to see americans mad that after USSR China will humilliate them too in the olympic games. And neither of this nations has black people thus they have a huge disadvantage in athletism.

The Irish and British were the same race then as of now. The conquest of Ireland was a necessity as Ireland was becoming an increasing liability in terms of the defense of the crown. I don't think the world (regarding the opening ceremony) would have been interested in the history involving our inter tribal wars, that is why it was left out.

I saw some of that and it wasn't easily by any means. As before, nobody really cares who wins except you and yer mad mouthy US mates. Oh my arse. I am a dwarf compared to my ex and my current husband and have always swum much faster than either of them and faster than any of my son's friends. It's about technique and such strange things as are you a natural floater. My friend is 5'10, I am 5'4, we swim 100 lengths together, but it's no exercise to me because I just relax and waft while she works. I stay afloat in water without moving or even holding my breath. All I have to do is move my hands to outpace her. Time will tell. They were saying drug testing is applied retrospectively now. The Olympic tests are being preserved for future testing and anyone from a country affluent enough to develop currently undetectable drugs may still be caught out in the future.
