I am a 49ers fan. Back when they played in San Francisco, it took me an hour+ get into the stadium. Today they practice and play at Santa Clara, CA, adjacent to San Jose and it's so much easier to get to the games.

We lost a good man when Eddie De Bartolo stepped down. Now that the team is run by Eddie's sister and her husband, they may never have a winning season again.

Yea I feel for you guys. Chip Kelly isn't the issue, it goes much higher. I mean, he still isn't a great coach, but Management is a serious problem. Always respected the 49ers.

Brady and Rogers are locals. Good luck to both of them.

I wish the 49ers had either QB

We lost Alex Smith who was better than Kaepernick.

Kelly by reports of the team players is an excellent coach.

Saw what Army Soldier said to me.

Some are making a strong case for Matt Ryan. So don't know if Rodgers will win it. But for the 1st time in his career, he leads the league in TD passes.

Matt Ryan probably would have locked it up already if they didn't have those stupid losses. I'd put Ryan in 3rd, Brady in a close 2nd, and Rodgers in 1. However, I still think it's very possible Brady could win the MVP. 28/2 with only one loss to his name this season weighs pretty heavy.

    40 TD
    7 Int
4 of his losses was when the D was the worst in the league giving up 40 pts/game.
No team wins giving up 40/game.

It's a strong case. I'm just stating my opinion.

Also, here's why I think one could make an argument for Brady over Rodgers. Brady lost one game that he played to Seattle when they had a healthy defense. Granted, our D sucked at the time, but whatever. We needed a rhythm.

Rodgers lost 5 games, 4 of them in a row. He lost to the Redskins who have the worst or 2nd worse D in the league. They lost to the Colts who are just as god awful. They lost to Tennessee who is actually a decent team (probably be good next year) and lost to Matt Ryan.

Brady threw 28 touchdowns and only 2 picks in 12 games. He lost one game. He's thrown TD's to people I didn't even know existed.

The Pats run game has been good this year which is something the Packers can't say, so I can also see that held against Brady and Ryan.

Anyone of them could get it.
I think the fact NE went 3-1 without him, shows the team can win without him.
Perhaps Belichick should win coach of the year.

3-1 is good, of course. However, we did get shutout by Buffalo...lol

Lions were on the wrong end of poor officiating all season

It happened again when Detroit lost to the Seahawks in wild card play.

    http://www.sbnation.com/2017/1/8/14...ks-nfl-playoffs-bad-calls-referees-all-season

From the “Calvin Johnson rule” in 2010 to the Seahawks’ illegal bat in 2015, the Detroit Lions have a long history of getting bad calls from referees. Saturday’s loss to the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round was no exception.

The Lions lost 26-6 to the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field, and while Seattle dominated the time of possession and only allowed Detroit to convert two of 11 third-down attempts, the Seahawks also got a little help from the referees.

"We expected that, to be honest with you," Lions receiver Anquan Boldin said, via the Detroit Free Press. "I mean, there were some calls that left us shaking our head. I'm sure you guys know exactly what I'm talking about. But it is what it is. Anytime you come into a place like this, you know you have to play more than the team."

Boldin was the recipient of two personal fouls for unnecessary roughness — both for shoving Seahawks players late. But Detroit’s complaints about officiating went beyond the flags thrown on Boldin.

Paul Richardson used a facemask to assist his highlight touchdown
In the second quarter against Seattle, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw a 2-yard touchdown to receiver Paul Richardson in the back of the end zone. The young receiver made a one-handed catch, but he grabbed Lions safety Tavon Wilson’s facemask during the process ...

Shut up with your nationalism talk to one who does not hate white nationalism for at least two pieces of the new government in Trump ultimate job if he gets approval before he sits in the presidential palace is white nationalism, according to news late 40 days back. Some, especially in the United States to a Nazi and a racist sitting in the best seat in the National house.

LOL soccer? Most boring sport alive. Who wants to pay to go to a game where two teams easily tie? Waste of money

No it was not English. It was some crazy rant about Nazis on a football thread

Soccer in Americanism. Football on England's home country. Americanism transfer English Football to you called Sports with only tackle play. English Football was founded before America was a real home country before civil war in USA.

I don't care how old soccer is. It could be 1 million years old. It's still the most boring sport.

Soccer is to play then scoring goals and offensive vs defensive tactics. Football is still only tackle.
