Three US states have cancelled agreements to send members of the National Guard to the US-Mexico border as part of a backlash over the Trump administration's policy of separating migrant families trying to enter the US.

The governors of New York, Colorado, and Massachusetts are now refusing to send state troops to the US-Mexico border.

Interesting. Three democrat governors are taking actions which in no solve the problem. Typical.

 

They are withdrawing support for an admin whose policies they disagree with who is creating problems unnecessarily.

 

Which in no way solves the problem. I would think with their troops down their they might have some effect. However, they would rather send a political message which solves nothing at all.

MA banned so called 'assault weapons'. The governor has to deal with the far left bent of MA. I rest my case.

The ban was put in place before he became governor. His decision to not send troops has nothing to do with any liberal bent. He butts heads with the liberals all the time.

 

The illegal aliens are the ones causing the problem.

 

It is a step toward solving the problem because it is a protest against the Trump policy of separating families. More and more protests will happen and eventually end his policy. The problem here isn't immigration or asylum seekers; it is the policy of separating families. That needs to stop. It's creating a humanitarian crisis.

 

I shovel manure and change tires. Do you think they should be exempt? But like me, that is not all of what they do. Whatever they are doing frees up border agents from having to do it so they can spend more time on the border.

 

Sadly, our existence is the problem, according to Democrats. If we weren't so free, weren't so prosperous or successful, other countries would be doing better. Obama made that quite clear since 08 and Hillary piggy backed on that delusion.

 

It is a protest which reduces the effectiveness of the border agents which is more likely to cause problems than solve them.

 

Do we know that for sure? How many troops are already there? How many are actually needed? Are there other states that can send troops?

 

of course they dont want to defend America, or solve the problem of illegals flooding across the border.

They might as well secede from the Union

 

National Guard troops belong to the STATES unless called for war duty over-seas.

 

I know the border agents say they have trouble doing everything they need to do and can use more help.
