    Here we go again. Major attack, many dead, during a national holiday. Is it wrong to suspect Islamic terrorists may have been involved?

    Im not going to go as far as to label this one as an attack right now, there were fireworks going off so as of right now my best guess is we have a dumb driver who was not paying attention because he wanted to see the pretty show.

    from reports coming in, this seems to be an intentional act, especially since the vehicle driver was engaging with police in gun shots after the fact, but it seems someone took a very large delivery truck and plowed through crowds celebrating bastille days in france, an immense number of people injured and dozens confirmed dead, actual count is scattered but this source is reporting 30 dead so far, with many more in critical condition... more terrorism?

    Authorities treat his as a terrorist attack and there are unconfirmed reports that there are gunmen on the loose in the city.

    It is thought that police officers desperately fired on the truck as it was "deliberately driven" at people leaving a major bank holiday fireworks celebration.

    Witnesses said the truck "rammed" the crowd where it was thickest at more than 30mph, and images emerged of the cab riddled with bullets.

    Police have identified the driver, who was killed during the incident, and it is believed to have been a man who was known to security services.

    According to fox, they have a video which they cannot show show due to the gruesome nature of the attack. Apparently the truck left a trail of dismembered and decapitated bodies. 60 dead.

    What is clearly needed is some "common sense" truck control laws that will make it impossible for violent criminals to obtain "assault trucks of war".
