I think you have Iran confused with Saudi Arabia.

The state of Israel was founded by invaders who used terrorism to drive Palestinian Arabs into giant ghettos. To this day, Israel continues to steal land and terrorize the Palestinian Arab population. Yet you love the Israelis!

Actually, it's because they're subject to a deliberate destabilization campaign by the CIA.

Why do nations have to be a threat to the U.S. before we take action against them? Isn't waiting until another nation is a "threat" foolish?

The problem with Saudi Arabia and their rulers the House of Saud has been the same for decades:

The alternatives would almost undeniably be much, much worse. So we have to put up with the devils we know.

    Ineffectually.

Because here you are, trying to lend credibility and authority to the regime-change-narrative developed by the CIA and its far-reaching propaganda network.

Everything you're saying could be found in the pages of the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Real opposition to regime change requires, well, opposition to regime change. But I don't see you expressing any real opposition. Instead, I see you trying to invigorate the regime change strategy by repeating the regime change narrative.

Why should we wait until a country is a threat before we treat them like a threat?

For the same reason we should wait until a country is a friend before we treat them like a friend.

    Because it's basic logic.

Yes, that's what the defenders of the US government's disastrous and corrupt foreign policy always claim: The alternatives would be much worse.

Of course, they never provide a shred of evidence to back that claim up. Because they have none. Because it doesn't exist. It's just a bunch of empty, self-serving speculation based on government propaganda.

Actually, it's a factual description of Israel's history.

The territory on which Israel presently exists was previously inhabited by an Arab majority. What happened to them?

They were driven off the land and into giant ghettos by Zionist invaders and terrorists.

I'm in total agreement with you. Maduro is a highly-competent leader. He's beloved of his people and leading in Venezuela into a bright, socialist future. Long may he reign.

If I remember correctly, we have screwed over Venezuela 14 times since the end of the Civil War.

One of these days our stupidity will crush one of those countries, and millions will flee. Wanna guess where?

That isn't true. The Zionists were involved in massacres, rapes and ethnic cleansing before any Arab invasion. Their people were demanding they do something about this. A deal had already been done between Jordan and Meir that they could take the West Bank (but not Jerusalem which was to have been International.) The somewhat poor arab invasion was as a response to their people's demands to do something about the massacres, rapes and ethnic cleansings as well as a little 'well we might get a little ourselves as they strongly suspected some agreement had gone on between Jordan and Israel and did not want to be left out. The Jordanian army was the only one professional enough and well enough equipped that it could have prevented Israel achieving her aims... Seems like from the beginning Israel supporters did what Israel does now. Once a response is made to Israel's behaviour, that response is used as an excuse for even worse behaviour by Israel.

Not exactly. Almost the entire Muslim population of where Israel exists now fled during the Israeli War of Independence to escape the crossfire between Israeli forces and Israelis' neighbors whom attacked them. Most of the Palestinians fled to Jordan but after coming into conflict with the government of Jordan during the infamous Black September Uprising, many of them fled Jordan back into Israeli occupied territory.

The Iranian shipment of fuel to Venezuela sent several clear messages:

1- Iran will not be cowed by US threats. Numerous messages, and not just those which were made public, were delivered to Iran to the effect that the US would not tolerate the shipments of fuel to Venezuela. Iran's response to those messages, both publicly and through the same intermediaries, was clear: the US interferes with these shipments, and Iran will reciprocate in kind: no US vessel of any kind would be able to travel in the high seas wherever Iran can reach them, starting with the Persian Gulf.

2- Iran will not tolerate US vassal states interfering with freedom of navigation for Iranian vessels. The tankers Iran sent towards Venezuela were initially supposed to travel to Venezuela through the Horn of Africa, to avoid waterways that are controlled by US allies and vassal states. Iran re-directed those tankers to travel, instead, through the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, the Mediterranean from there to cross the Atlantic to Venezuela, each of those locations which are under strong US military presence and the control of US vassal states. Iran's message to each of these vassal states who might have been tempted to interfere, deny passage, or otherwise assist the US was equally clear: Iran won't let you get away with it.

3- Unlike some others, Iran stands by its friends. Venezuela had made the same request for fuel from Russia, but the Russians (despite their strong diplomatic support for the Madura government) had bulked. Despite the desperate need of Venezuela for this fuel, the Russians felt that delivery of fuel to Venezuela in America's backyard in the face of US sanctions would not be wise. Iran, which has nothing to fear from US sanctions or threats, signaled to Venezuela it was ready to deliver the fuel instead. And it delivered on what it promised Venezuela it would.

Why Did Russia Refuse Venezuela’s Request but Iran Accepted It?

No. You're suggesting the U.S. wait to allow a nation to become a threat before taking action? That is like the old western trope where the good guy faces the bad guy straight up in a fair gunfight and allows him to draw his gun first.

In the real world, the good guy shoots the bad guy dead as he's coming from the outhouse with his pants still twisted around his ankles.

The ones who claim to be 'all powerful' aren't sitting in Iran, but in the US. Iran's power is found in its conviction: to not bend to bullies.
