As long as Limbaugh remains the smartest, most entertaining and most interesting man on radio he has nothing to fear from enraged libs with pitchforks.

I wouldn't say that he's all of those things. He's been entertaining at times, but smartest? Not sure I can accept that one.

Anyhow, it comes down to who brings home the bacon. If this ends up an extended advertiser pull, even he can't survive it. It comes down to simple economics. Radio is always a hand to mouth operation and if a program doesn't deliver a paycheck, it has to be pulled for something that will.

Didn't Bill Maher call Sarah Palin a very nasty four-letter word starting with a "c"?

And yet Obama takes his money.

Interesting double standard going on here.

Obama's PAC took money from Mayer. The President has no say in who gives what to a Super PAC.

Bill mahr is a "registered comedian" many in the community also consider him a joke. Rush on the other hand is taken seriously by a great many people and wields a lot of actual influence through his "reporting".

    No right of Maher.
No ads pulled because of it.
Rush wasn't giving his money TO the advertisers.
Obama isn't giving money TO Maher. Maher is giving it to Obama. Sorta the other way around there.
Man that sounds like something Palin would of said.

People who are smart don't get in trouble... You do know that right? People who are smart find "other" words because they are smart and have a large vocabulary...

You don't understand the broadcasting business, do you? There are two types of advertisers.

On Rush Limbaugh's show there are EIB affiliated advertisers. These are the advertisers that the EIB network controls and that must be given a certain amount of broadcasting time nationwide by all stations when they agree to run his programming.

The other type is radio station controlled. These are usually your local advertising. You don't really think that spot for Billy's Tire Barn in Memphis Tennessee is being advertised to listeners in Boise Idaho do you? These can be ran at whatever agreed upon percentage spread the local affiliate has agreed to as long as the national advertisers get their percentages.

The nationally-syndicated network also has a clause allowing them to tell each radio station what it cannot run during their programming. If a nationally syndicated show doesn't want an ad during its time slot, they can pressure the local station to run those ads at other times during their broadcasting days.

In the case of WABC, they may have 70/30 or 60/40 split of local/EIB advertising allotment. Which means EIB may be getting all 40% of their advertising while WABC runs 4% local ads and 56% PSAs, in the case of a 60/40 split.

Sarah Palin called Obama a very nasty 8-letter word starting with a "t" and told people at her rallies that he palled around with terrorists and was "different from us" and let them fill in their imaginations about what terrible thing she knew that they didn't. She had people so enraged at Obama at her rallies that people were shouting "Kill him!" Can you think of any reason Obama or any other Liberal should go out of their way to defend her from other name-callers? I can't.

Maher OPENLY gave the $1 million to protest the superpacs that are allowed to give unlimited amounts of money to candidates anonymously. There's one single family keeping Gingrich in the race with millions of dollars of their money. Is that how you think our elections should be decided?

Obama was against superpacs but since the Repubs and the SC support them, he has no choice but to do whatever it takes to be able to compete on a level playing field. Criticizing him for accepting the money is pure hypocrisy.

It's Corpsmen... and combat medics are corpsmen if you didn't know... Now you do...

In the Marines we don't have medics because... well we are Marines... But, we do have the Navy - and they are our medics... guess what they are called..

    Corpsmen..

Yes, in his stand uproutine, I know rush is a ccomplete joke, but I doubt he can stand up for any long period.

Nope, a super pac received the money. As romney pointed out several times: you cant control those.
