A reasonable measure that would save lives in mass shootings and not take anyones guns away

    Can you list specific calibers as to whether they are “heavy” and should be subjected to restrictions or not.

    Also, what big game calibers are being used in crimes?

    The army adopted 5.56 so that soldiers could carry more rounds. A side benefit was that the 5.56 FMJ tended to wound rather than kill more often than the .30 caliber of the M1. A wounded soldier requires help and degraded an opposing force in a fight more than a kill. Basically a high velocity .22 LR

    I have never understood why , if the reason for keeping guns is for self protection, you don't buy tazers or ammunition that knock out but doesn't kill.
    Many police forces use such ammunition. If people want to play policeman, why do they have to use live rounds that kill when police often don't.
