I think you're missing the point... riots are never something to applaud. In terms of what made Jan 6th special, it was about them trying to intimidate others into changing the election results, i.e. attempting to overturn the democratic process*. With an asterisk, as these people were so delusional that they believed they were doing the opposite.
Police stations were set on fire! Federal court houses were attacked! City blocks were overtaken and turned into an "autonomous zone." Police officers were attacked. One video above shows a police officer getting hit with a brick, for goodness sakes.\ More people died during the BLM and Antifa riots, and more property damage was done. I condem all riots where property is destroyed and people have been injured or killed. I support punishing those that committed crimes to the fullest extent of the law. That includes BLM, antifa and January 6. Will you join me in supporting the same?

When the US Constitution is urinated upon by the government, we no longer have the rule of law, we no longer have constitutional governance. You might not know or care, but 40+ US citizens have been held for a year without charges, without attorneys, and certainly in violation of Habeas Corpus. Years ago we would criticize governments that did those things, but now many Americans cheer those violations. Yes, we have the government we deserve.
Federal buildings in other cities outside of Washington, that are burned or damaged are funded by taxpayers. A lot of the anger about the trespassing on the Capital was the frustration of the state and federal government's not doing anything about the rioters in other cities. Just like the way those in Washington are sitting on their hands and not doing a darn thing about the infestation of illegal aliens that are invading our southern border. It seems child trafficing, drug smuggling and a total dis- regarde of our sovereign status as a country no longer means anything.

We have a supreme court. They would judge that all that happened under duress and therefore would not be Consitutionally valid. If need be, the supreme court would have the US Marshalls or military to enforce their ruling.
Against whom? Do you honestly believe that they would have been allowed to act against Trump once he regained power?
