Let’s look at the Guttmacher research
    https://www.guttmacher.org/report/characteristics-us-abortion-patients-2014

See copy paste is not hard

There seems to be an element of posters struggling to copy and paste the link. Works at my end. Thanks to Phyxius, he/she has posted a link that works by clicking on it.

I apologise for the tricky instructions to the PDF earlier in the thread.

Well, someone had to do it, since it was apparently beyond your capabilities. Is there an abortion in your past you want to share with the class?

You mean that this piece of sexist claptrap was your validation??? I have rarely seen a worse piece of “research” the methodology is fatally flawed, there is little to no rigor within the structure, there is obvious bias in selection criteria and confabulation of the underlying population selection for inclusion

It wasn't, I just simply copied and pasted the link off my browser on my phone and inserted in the link. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work by simply clicking on it. It worked if you copied and pasted it as a URL. I thought, the guys on here will manage it. I was wrong, not one could. So I've learnt that making instructions here simple still doesn't work.

Abortions? Not in my family. A relative had IVF quite a few times, but no abortions, we're all too sensible and responsible.

Posters aren't capable of debating the subject, I'll leave you to it. It's obvious you haven't a clue about the link between IQ and abortions. When you all appear in the alerts, they'll just be ignored.

Does it make you feel better to blame others for your mistakes?
And is every member of your family required to report to you on their medical procedures? Or do you just access their private medical records?

Just admit your 50 year old study of white married couples having legal abortions in the 40's, 50's and 60's (?!?!?) got curb-stomped and move on, while the rest of us laugh at how asininely stupid the OP was and question the validity of anything you post in the future...

PS: AND LEARN HOW TO POST A VALID LINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did - in fact I critiqued your paper. If you want to debat the flawed methodology underpinning that
‘Research” further I am game. We can start with thier inclusion criteria for a start. Mind you reading that horrible PDF again will just about make my eyes water but I am game

Meanwhile I note you have ignored the Guttmacher research from 2014

It was obvious the thread was started just to say nasty things abut women who have abortion with a heavy does of thinly disguised "The slut should've kept her legs together".

    :) Sure backfired...….I mean really!! Those low IQ women !!! ;) ;)

I think this may qualify for one of the most fallacious and nonsensical arguments of the day. Mind you I have not read every post - but for sure this would be high on the list.

The desire to have sex is universal - in most - and this has nothing to do with IQ. That some are unaware or unable to obtain good contraception may be a function of IQ - obviously in the case of unawareness.

The idea that all abortions are linked to low IQ - is preposterous nonsense. Smart people have sex and smart people have abortions.

Then there is the option of abortion - Smart people realize that in the case of an unintended pregnancy - should contraception fail. In this way one can have sex and avoid having kids. Only someone with a low IQ does not realize this :)

I'm assuming that they aren't, but I haven't seen any data on it. However, I do consider IQ to be a completely meaningless number, so it doesn't matter to me whether there is a correlation there or not.

For the vast majority of all cases, precisely this. For all the talk about "wanting to control women's bodies", it seems like women do have full control over their own bodies, does it not?

I don't think it's IQ, and even if it was, I find IQ to be meaningless. But beyond that, what's going wrong is that people can't seem to wait until they are happily married and financially stable before having sex. They want the pleasures of sex without the responsibilities of raising children. So, when they do accidentally have a kid, they then have to convince themselves that a child inside the womb somehow isn't actually a child, so as to justify their murdering of it. It's sad stuff...

IQ is no longer an accepted measure of intelligence. In the heat of passion, the brain does tent to shut off!

Might I recommend you avoid bringing up IQ when making these type of posts?

Ya, and gosh, it all started in the 1960's with hippies and free love...before that EVERYONE waited until marriage before having sex and the world was perfect.

How does one accidently have a kid?

Well, comments like that are sad.... and mind readers, or those who think they are mind readers, really have no point.

BTW, when pregnant a woman does NOT have a "child" in her womb..

BTW, what she does with her pregnancy isn't anyone's business but hers...
