I think we're working with someone who thinks it's still 1975. SOOOOOO far out of touch she thinks 'Asians' are the poor people in America.

Yes it does work. Every woman who refrains from taking the risk, succeeds. And PLENTY do just that.

Your logic bombs and vastly superior argument are devastating. It's tremendously satisfying :p

Come on, drag out a few exceptions why dontcha. That's pretty much what you're reduced to on the abortion thing, so it's apparently your go to when you've comprehensively lost.

So what? Plenty don't. and that is their RIGHT.

But if you want to preach about "shoulds" go ahead....somebody might listen but most people really don't need your advice.....and they do just fine without it :)

It's your attitude to race which is 'centuries old'. It's 2018. There is no more institutional racism, and People of Colour are now at the top of the American wealth tree. Why don't you know this?

    Really?

Much easier just to concede defeat.

The rebuttal is that if one does not wish to face the consequences that result from sexual encounters, then perhaps they should engage good judgement and refrain from engaging in sexual encounters, rather than seeking an abortion after the fact.

Is there a right to unwanted pregnancies?

Uh, we're going around in circles so I'll say this for the last time. I agree.

However , no one can force them to do that, no amount of preaching or "shoulding" will change humans...they will do what they've done from the first upright human and you can't stop them.

It's a silly question but YES, women have a right to not want a pregnancy.

Does the fact that they will not actually exercise better judgement, serve to change the legitimacy of the point being made?

Not a right to not want to be pregnant, but rather a right to an unwanted pregnancy.

What? What point was that...? The point that you think everyone should do what YOU think is "right"?

That makes no sense....did you have a point?

Women have a right to any kind of pregnancy they want ...or don't want or whatever you're trying to say...

That everyone should stop acting impulsively and actually engage in rational, coherent thought, and contemplate that their present course of action might not be the wisest to engage in?

That is indeed the point that is being made. Individuals should stop looking into ways to avoid taking responsibility, and cleaning up their messes after the fact, and instead avoid making messes to begin with. It is not a difficult or unreasonable concept to contemplate. Nor can it seriously be considered as asking too much of what is supposed to be the most intelligent race on the planet. To suggest otherwise is to suggest that humans really are nothing more than dumb animals, no different from livestock bred for food purposes.

Agreed but if you notice I will link to validated research to back statements

A simple thing is educating many on the failure rate of contraception. It is horrifying to me how many men in particular come on this forum declaring that abortions occur because people are too lazy to use a condom. When you show them that condoms have a 15% failure rate and THAT translates to 15 unwanted pregnancies per year for every 100 women relying on condoms.

If I can educate people so as to prevent unwanted pregnancy then I have, in all probability done more to prevent abortion than all those railing about "murdering babies"

Since 1975, selling racism has become more difficult. I grew up poor and was raised by a single mother. According to her, Im black!

Ya know, I have to ask...do you actually think you are the first person to ever think of that?

    Really?

It's too bad whoever or whatever created humans didn't just clone a perfect one....but the reality is all people are different.

As I've told you a dozen times YOUR idea of responsibility or how to handle responsibility does NOT rule the earth.

If a woman aborts a fetus she does not want she IS acting responsibly....who are YOU to tell her otherwise??? Or tell her she's a dumb animal because she had sex??

As some people see it it IS responsible to not have a kid you don't want or can't afford. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean they're wrong...

Then why is it not working?

You plan which relies on abstinence SHOULD work. But there are currently 7 billion people on this planet which indicates it is worse than useless

Even priests can't be relied on not to screw around

But again this is simply going on the net and saying " I did it so others should too".

How will that reduce one unwanted pregnancy anywhere?
