How the woman got pregnant is completely irrelevant since it does not change anything - The standard of value is still the woman's life. She is protected by her rights and who she sleeps with or how is none of your business.

Aren't you Conservatives supposed to be defenders of Individual Rights and small government? By what twisted logic does Individual Rights stop in her womb and why do you want to invite the government into her bedroom?

I think you are being far too generous. People devoted to religion, whether male or female, are always prepared to sacrifice their own lives for "God's plan". I mean, some of them even reject cancer treatments.

I know this might be a tough question for you to answer, but I'll give you one more chance. What happens in the event a woman becomes pregnant even though she took birth control and assuming abortion were to become illegal in the US?

And it's a question that's a bit misleading, because it presumes that popping a birth control pill counts as "birth control".

The woman can make her chances as low as she wants. It will never go down to absolutely zero.

The Pro-Life position does not believe women are entitled to be able to have sex with absolutely no chance of pregnancy whatsoever. There will always be some small chance of pregnancy with standard vaginal intercourse. But there are numerous things the woman (and her partner) can do to make those chances extremely small.
If the woman's going to have lots and lots of sex, hopefully it is a partner with whom it would not be the end of the world for her to have a baby with.

 

And what exactly does being "responsible enough" entail?
