Don't you think that's a little bit of hyperbole?

If she responsibly uses birth control, her chances of having an unintended pregnancy can be very very small.

If she is having sex within a committed relationship, or at least a guy she doesn't mind having a baby with, then it won't be the end of the world if a baby does come along.

And the last option, if all else fails, there is adoption.

Pregnancy is only for 9 months and the woman can walk around and go wherever so she pleases. She is not in chains.
Maybe she has to mind her body a little more than usual and not do anything detrimental to her health.

Yes, there is SACRIFICE, but the sacrifice is not her life.

That is very rare these days. In fact more women die from car accidents than die from pregnancy, if you look at the statistics.

Women DIE as a result of giving birth!

When you FORCE a million women to give birth to UNWANTED children you are going to SACRIFICE 174 of their lives each year.

So WHY must 174 women be SACRIFICED to your IMAGINARY deity each and every year?

YOUR imaginary deity sacrifices MILLIONS of fetuses every year via MISCARRIAGE abortions.

WHY does your IMAGINARY deity REQUIRE the SACRIFICE of those 174 women as well?

Are YOU going to ADOPT the CHILDREN that are now MOTHERLESS because you IMPOSED a NEEDLESS sacrifice of the LIVES of their mothers?

That's a weird way to look at it ...and totally inaccurate and without logic....

Why should a woman have to pay for her sexual freedom??

I see you haven't learned anything about pregnancy and still not only have no respect for women but denigrate and deny what they go through bringing you and others into the world.

You talk about them as if they were property to be managed, controlled and punished...a very misogynistic view...

Please don't deny you hate/ fear women

I haven't seen anyone say any different.....

...and why are you so concerned that women "own her mistakes".... men, too?????

Yes, to abort a ZEF one can't afford and/or doesn't want is a responsible act...

:) YOu make it seem like a woman has the responsibility to NOT get pregnant but if she does you want her responsibility lifted and have her forced to gestate ....as if that is a PUNISHMENT for getting having sex and pregnant.

:) All Anti-Choicers eventually show how desperately they want women punished for having sex without them....LOLOLOLOLO>>>>

Who says the sex has had to be a mistake? Maybe it was her best ever. :)

She has no right to a sex life now?

As has already been pointed out above, sex life is part of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.

It is not anything like hyperbole at all. Life is not simply a matter of breathing, it is about actually living your life the way you want to by pursuing your own values and happiness. Denying the unwillingly pregnant wonan an abortion is to demand she sacrifices her life for a piece of protoplasm.

Why do you feel that is any of your business?

Either you want a baby or you do not. If your view of parenthood is that it is to be built on a "lol, I guess I wouldn't mind" rather than "I really want it", you are - to say the least - really weird.

Ah, the "pro-small government" Conservative wants to hand babies to the State and wish for the government to control her breeding, who would have guessed?

Do you really want children to grow up in the very unsafe envuronment of a foster home and/or a life of jumping from family to family? Is that how you want these "innocent lives" to grow up? Seriously?

Also, no woman has an obligation to provide foster-parents with children.

You have got to be kidding me? Clearly this is just provocation. Please, tell me it is.

Do you even know what a sacrifice is?

    So friggen what?

It is not any more of my business than what happens to women when they are caught having abortion.

That's one way to look at it.

Why do you feel that it is your business? Are you pregnant?

Point being, if she were really so concerned and paranoid for her life, she would not be getting into cars.

If driving is an acceptable risk, then pregnancy is not totally unreasonable (from a statistical chance of death standpoint).

The fact she is getting into cars clearly proves and demonstrates the issue is not really about her life (defined as whether she lives or dies).
Heck, the fact she has not gotten her tubes tied is an indication she is willing to risk that tiny chance of death for a future pregnancy at some point.

No. Life in general. There are over 16 million American women with varying degrees of mental illness ( manic-depression, schizophrenia, others) and often this illness is associated with lower inhibitions and tightened sex drive. Usually, the
meds these women need do not mix well with pregnancy. So, these women try to lead a functioning life, but the illness
can make that difficult - and you want to FORCE said women to carry to term on top of their illness? I think that's morally
reprehensible - and just plain old ****Ing wrong. We won't even get to the 80% of women who do not report
their rape because of what we've seen happen in the court room and press to women who come forward to
    report rape.

No. It's about women living their lives and their right to tell people who try to stick their nose in her business to **** off.

What is it that is so bad about lust and how is it conflict with life?

That does not make sense. If these women knew they could not be pregnant, why have they not gotten their tubes tied?

Geeze, dude. Do you know nothing about women and mental illness? It's not an all or nothing proposition. Not every
woman handles it the same or has the same degree of the illness. Again, you are trying to fit every woman into some
kind of little box. Doesn't work that way in real life. That's why anti-abortion people have such a difficult time making a coherent
    argument.

In other words you are basically admitting she can handle a pregnancy, but we just shouldn't make her excessively do so when she does not want that baby at that particular time.

Your argument is not entirely invalid, it just becomes weaker when we apply some thought to it.

Gods dude, you really are not in touch with reality. Drugs used to treat many mental illnesses are big no-no for pregnant women,
they can cause birth defects and premature birth. So it's less a choice than a necessity. There's also the problems of a mentally ill woman
not being able to take care of herself, let alone the prenatal needs of a fetus.

You really need to start thinking of women as individuals, not just an incubator.

Why should we make her "excessively do" anything against her will?

Just move to Afghanistan or something if you love misogyny so much.
