Well said, and I admit, I was singling out girls and I shouldn't have. I was having tunnel vision. But really, like you say, it is the responsibility of BOTH consenting parties. The responsibility is an equal. After all, the gene split is 50/50. No I do not think women are stupid and I think they know exactly what could happen as a result. My point is that women chose to "consent" to sex but refuse to "consent" to getting pregnant (this popped up earlier in the thread). I do not understand how this logic works. Just because you refuse to consent to getting pregnant should not automatically give you free reign to terminate the birth. You are still accountable for your actions - regardless. The community must come together around the mother with support and resources to help her and her young child through the tough times. And I think often times the single mother working two jobs is left by the wayside. Not considered "viable" in the eyes of the populous. So it is a very challenging decision to take on a pregnancy and birth. And then raise that child with the appropriate level of love and support to allow them to excel. But 20 years later, when that child is graduating from college, LOVE is always the better option, no matter how bleak it may look out there.

 

Look, for you, when does the journey to "personhood" start? DNA is used to identify people, is it not? We see new DNA when the egg is fertilized. That is the moment the soul is created. Spiritually, the unborn has a fully intact soul from the moment of conception to the moment of --- well.... forever. This is how I chose to measure "personhood" because it's not just about the flesh, it's far more than just that. We are really just spirit beings trapped inside the physical body. Sure, the physical part of us dies away, but the soul lives on forever. Like they say (and I am paraphrasing), Broad is the gate that leadith to destruction and narrow is the gate that leadith to eternal life. So this life is a proving ground. And not many people will be able to stay on course and enter through the straight and narrow gate. If there is evil in this world, then we know satan is real. With someone like Jeffrey Dahmer, there is no other definition in the world that suits him better than pure evil.

Why must an unborn baby die for the actions of his or her mother?
Sex without consequences involves abortion of the unborn child.
Termination of said child absolves the mother of any guilt or blame.
You killed the baby instead of taking responsibility for your decision to have sex.
You resolved the problem by holding the baby accountable for the mothers actions.

The little baby has done nothing wrong? And you kill it! This most fragile and delicate little life form is granted LIFE by the 14th amendment and the DOI. Abortion grieves the heart of God. Although, it is an instant trip to heaven so it's not all bad. There is a silver lining.
