Tell all the doctors using it now it’s useless, not me. Tell Cuomo. Tell the FDA. Tell the growing number of practicing physicians who are seeing the value in this treatment that it’s useless.

No I have no “proof”. But I’ve researched how these drugs work. I know the risks. I understand the potential rewards likely outweigh the risks since those risks are well documented, understood, and have been dealt with for decades. Nobody has proof, but there is a growing pile of evidence that I’m not going to ignore.

 

The testing takes many months and the resources to do that testing are not available. We can't wait for the testing.

The FDA approved it 50+ years ago. Off-label use of medications has already been legal. There's no need at all for the FDA to approve it for this use. It can be added to the labeling once testing is completed but we don't want to let people die unnecessarily until then. That's why it is being used. Except in states where the governors hate Trump more than they love the lives of their own constituents.

Actual medical doctors, those who have far more training than you and those who are far smarter than you, make the recommendations on individual cases taking in all sorts of information that none of us could possibly know. I agree. It's one thing for a governor to have an opinion, and to publicly comment that hydroxychloroquine might not be as useful as some people claim. It's quite another for that governor to ban doctors from prescribing it, or to ban pharmacies from dispensing it.

We know for a fact that hydroxychloroquine has been proven to lower the viral load on the patient, which better allows the body to fight off the virus. We also know that the drug reduces inflammation of the lungs, which greatly relieves the stress on patients having trouble breathing.

So why ban it? Why not allow doctors to make that decision? Why??? Because these governors hate everything Trump, so if he likes this drug and has "high hopes" for it, then these governors hate the drug, just out of spiteful hatred for Trump

Trump never asserted that hydroxychloroquine was a sure "cure". He did say that he thought the results from France and China were very encouraging. His qualified endorsement was justified, and his judgement has been validated by the experts including the medical doctors who have been hoarding the drug for themselves ad their families.
