I respect their right to issue an updated statement, but they were much closer to the truth the first time... some of the actions of some school board bullies have risen to the level of domestic terrorism... Full Stop...

BTW, this follow up letter likely changes nothing... Garland will continue to provide federal resources to make school board meetings and members safer, despite your best attempts..

    Here's how tyranny works.

    • The Democratic White House want to push CRT, Trans sexualism, and more in our schools. So they contact a contentious school board and request they write a letter to the FBI outlining the problem (parents).
    • The School Board gleefully writes the letter to the FBI.
    • The FBI, under The Democratic White House, was waiting for the letter and sprung into action, denouncing these "terrorists" and that they will be looking to stop them.

It's that circular and simple and it's what they did here. It's too bad for them that their little process got exposed. They are wannabe tyrants. Fascists actually. They are manipulating and using the government to attack their political opponents.

There may not be any and I have no idea what he will do. I don’t claim to be a psychic.

That doesn’t change a single statement I have made however

Unfortunately many of your fellow liberals honor them as they riot in the streets.

Again, you have no clue. They have

Sorry, the FBI doesn't do that. They assemble terrorist task forces when there is a threat. Not to investigate.

Who would think that? An example of the sorts of things the FBI can get involved in is provided below. And this is the sort of activity pseudo liberals (many of whom post here) would IMHO applaud if directed against a conservative leader.

    https://time.com/5930571/martin-luther-king-jr-fbi/

Monitored at every turn by the FBI, King’s daily activities were recorded with the sort of care and attention to detail normally reserved for occupants of the White House. For the last four and a half years of his life, from 1963 until his death in April of 1968, King lived without any semblance of privacy. His hotel rooms were bugged, his phones tapped, and his office and inner circle infiltrated by informants.

An "updated statement", it's an APOLOGY. What federal jurisdiction is there here and be specific? What are ALL the US Attorney's holding meetings about concern local school board meetings and federal jurisdictions? And do you think some parents are the only ones who have threatened government officials are we now to call all of those domestic terrorism and arrest them on those charges and that would include anyone urging such "terrorism"?

One more time else stop wasting my time

What is the FEDERAL JURISDICTION. The local authorities can charge and prosecute anyone who engages in violence.

They have NO jurisdiction of a local law enforcement matter, their purpose is not to debunk claims and that is not what Garland was saying in his order to begin nationwide investigations by EVERY US Attorney in the country, all based on a claim by the NASB they have not backtracked and issued and apology.

I'm sure they have legal counsel. Did you know 21 such state charters at last count issued statements distancing themselves from this letter from the national council stating they had nothing to do with it?

"As of October 21, 21 states have distanced themselves from the NSBA’s letter: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming.

On October 18, California declined to respond."
    https://defendinged.org/press-releases/state-school-board-associations-responses-to-the-nsba-letter/

It was stupid for the national board to write the letter in the first place, it was stupid for the Biden White House to be part of writing it, it was stupid of Merrick Garland to go along with the scheme to silence concerned parents with his letter intended to threaten them into silence so his son could sell is racist CRT materials to school boards and probably unethical and should be investigate by the OIG. I hoped you watched when he was drilled about it and refused to answer if he had even inquired with the Ethics office about it and gotten clearance to not recuse himself from the matter entirely.

What was the Federal jurisdiction to investigate the murders of three college kids in Mississippi?

In early September, Biden Administration stakeholders held discussions regarding avenues for potential federal action against parents with a key Biden Domestic Policy Council official (Jane Doe #1) and White House staff (John Doe #1). Stakeholders also held discussions with senior department officials, including at least one political appointee in the department’s Civil Rights Division (Jane Doe #2). Jane Doe #1, John Doe #1, and others in the White House separately expressed concern regarding the potential partisan political impact of parent mobilization and organization around school issues in the upcoming midterm elections.
    • Upon information and belief, at the express direction of or with the express consent of Jane Doe #1, Jane Doe #2 and other Biden Administration officials developed a plan to use a letter from an outside group (“not the usual suspects”) as pretext for federal action to chill, deter, and discourage parents from exercising their constitutional rights and privileges

Demented Biden, Dirtbag Garland, and the Edu-thug wing of Antifa/BLM thought it was open season School Board Parents. Now they are back peddling furiously as someone figure out that they are getting their asses kicked.

FREE-FALLING: Biden has lost more approval at start of term than any other president since World War II, poll finds.

Biden's support has dropped over 11 points since Q1.

I don't chase down rabbit holes. If you can't cite a federal jurisdiction here you proved my point. There is none.

It's no rabbit hole, it's directly on point. Your inability to answer is duly noted.

The DOJ has an ethics office. The post you responded to suggested that maybe Garland should have talked to his DOJ ethics office seeking guidance about possibly recusing himself from a matter that potentially involved the financial interests of his son-in-law. If that is not sufficiently clear, consider that his memo could be construed as seeking to intimidate parents who wanted the CRT materials marketed by his son-in-law removed from classrooms. You seem to have difficulty understanding what a conflict of interest is. At a minimum, Garland gives the appearance of being corrupt.
