What were we discussing? Well, the core was abortion as contraception Some research backing that assertion please
Feel free . I said my my part. And I'm right. You can disagree if you want i frankly don't care and don't care that you don't like my using absolutes
Umm...interesting that the bill makes no mention of women having a tubal ligation..... Shouldn't that be in the bill also.....or is this just an attack on men...
Well, well. Look at all the triggered men who came out of the woodwork. I'd say this little trolling stunt succeeded. And the point of all this couldn't be clearer: Intrusion into women's private lives = good Intrusion into men's private lives = bad All people are equal. Some people are more equal than others.
I'm rather pro right to abort, but abortion debate can't be resolved. People which are against abortion consider that foetus are full human being, people for the right of abortion consider they don't have consciousness and so are more related to "things". Anti abortion people are motivated to prevent what they consider murders, unfortunately, it's hard to convince them because there is no absolute truth when it's about to consider what is human life. The law asked by democrat is just a call to forced mutilation.
Because the Anti-Abortion bills do not limit how many children that a woman can have, and women have a choice whether to have an abortion or not. Further the Anti-Abortion bills merely outlaw late term abortions. Not all abortions as you stated. Birth Certificates are registered with the state, and contain the name of the fathers. This bill is nothing but a liberal grandstand against Alabama's Anti-Later Term Abortion bill. The Democrat that wrote the bill does not expect it to pass, or withstand a SCOTUS challenge.
A dumb political stunt by an even dumber state legislator. Did she propose women have to get their tubes tied?
Yeah, about that - I sometimes have to deal with birth certificates - schools mostly ask for them to prove that the kid is old enough to enroll or somesuch although they are not a requirement in California AFAIK, and I've see a lot of them where the father's name is not there. Yep, agreed.
From what I know, and a bit of research on the net, it is not required to put the father's name on a birth certificate unless he agrees/participates in the certificate process. Seriously, in some cases, it would be impossible to know who the father is without a DNA test. Some don't want the father on the certificate, I suppose because it makes the father legally responsible and also lessens the chances of taxpayer funded assistance. Agreed.
Dems really don't care about liberty. Its about power. Women should have control over their bodies unless she wishes to arm herself against rapists. There is no excuse for government involvement in what we do with our bodies.
You are right. I married a woman more the 30 years ago that had two children by a man that refused to take care of, or even admit they were his children. I raised both boys. In my opinion, that son of a biscuit eater should have been snipped after the boys were born, but I would no make that a general policy. Those that have children that do not have their name on the birth certificate, does not count as their three children. What I would worry about if I was one of those people, is that many states requires the mothers to divulge who the father is before getting Government Aid. If the mother tells who is responsible, then the state will go after them for child support. In Alabama, if this law were to pass, a positive DNA test might also come with a court order to have their dingle snipped.
