The silence from people that whined like children about the Trump/GOP tax cuts going to taxpayers is deafening.

Where are the mobs protesting Cuomo? Has his family been targeted by Antifa?

Where are the Fake Newsers pointing out how much taxes are being PAID by the Poor and Middle Class in NY while the Richest 0.0000001% gets $1.7Billion in tax breaks?

    Smells like hypocrisy..

Actually, there has been a lot of opposition to the wealthy tax cut windfall, but it is a done deal and the Trump supporters are in favor
because Trump has conned them into believing that they will benefit.

Cuomo is a Trump supporter now? When did that happen?

This is a Liberal Democrat giving a tax break to the richest man in the world... Trump and Trump supporters had nothing to do with it.

You mean Amazon? I misinterpreted. A Republican governor would have done the same to bring money and employment into his state.
The Republican governor of Nevada, where I lived, also tried to lure Amazon. Has nothing to do with party affiliation.

Except that it demonstrates the hypocrisy of the left for vehemently opposing tax cuts, but then giving tax cuts to benefit themselves.

Smells like competition. Governments compete for private sector jobs. Like it or not, that is how it works.

Our Republican governor in Florida promised the same type of tax incentives to try and get Amazon in South Florida.

Gonna call this thread tribal hyperbolic bull crap thread of the week.

While the move can be categorized as cronyism, it is not nearly to the level of the owner of amazon himself receiving a tax break. The company is receiving a tax incentive at the local level to operate in a particular region, however the amount that Jeff Benzos pays in his individual taxes remains unchanged.

    You must be deaf.

Queens, New York residents are “outraged” at Amazon’s plans to build part of its second headquarters in its Long Island City, according to Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I am sure you complained when Amazon got a $800 million windfall from Trump's federal tax cuts? Come to think of it, probably not.

Cuomo, on the other hand, is a DINO, he is quite liberal on social issues, but a tax cutter at heart. He would fit in well with the GOP.

If you want to see liberal leaning forum members express their concern with Amazon corporate welfare, there are a couple of other threads to check out. Until them your thread is nothing else than liberal bashing.

The difference is trump an the gop gave a tax cut to everyone. The Dems don’t care about the working man, they just give windfalls to their super rich donors.

    Exactly.

In fact, here is the ACTUAL TITLE of the linked article:

Amazon Is Getting at Least $1.7 Billion to Come to Queens. Now Comes the Fight Over Whether It’s Worth It.

The OP title (which contains personal political commentary--and, as such, is in violation of the rules) was made strictly for the purposes of bashing "Democrats".

As you point out, there are already several threads discussing this (the link is 3 days old). :bored:

This thread is "Liberal bashing". Plain and simple.

Are you effing kidding me? Amazon is only getting $1.7 billion? Damn, the Dems are good! Actually, all in, New Yorkers will pony up about $2.98 billion. What will NY get? 25,000 jobs at an average salary of $150k per/yr. Population of New York state is 19.85 million.

Let's compare this to the Republican gift to Foxconn in Wisconsin. All in, WI is giving Foxconn $4.1 billion. What will WI get? It was supposed to be 13,000 jobs at an average salary of $53k per/yr. Population of Wisconsin is 5.8 million.

Conclusion: while I'm generally opposed to outrageous 'gifts' to corporations I'd definitely want the Democrats negotiating these deals rather than Republicans. Donny Trump and Scott Walker put the 'con' in Foxconn.....

No, it doesn't demonstrate the hypocrisy of the left, right or center. The left opposed the ridiculous tax cut windfall for the wealthy, and
rightfully so. If you want to twist and turn the facts then knock your self out. The Governor gave Amazon the incentive to create jobs and income for his state. I applaud him for that and so should you. Has nothing to do with party affiliation. No wonder the lame-brains voted for Trump. They are clueless.

What do you think the Trump tax cuts were intended to do if not to provide incentive to create jobs and income?

Sure this is something Cuomo would do. He also made it so that new businesses can operate tax free for 10 years.

I am not trump’s friend, nor am I rich, but he made me richer. That’s the difference, the GOP cares about everyone...dems just care about their rich donors

Smells like you are shoveling BSxHS= pile of crap... two miles high. Oh did you forget that St of Virginia and Tenneser gave Amazon a tax breaks totaling $2.4 billion so why is your BS Fake News machine only attacking NY and Cuomo???

When Indiana and Wisconsin and Ohio and Kansas and I'll and SC and all of the other states gave tax breaks for companies to promise creating jobs which the Trump BS News machine touted did your Fake News machine criticize that???? Remember Carrier Corp and alleged job saving that never was even though they got a tax break from The Eunach as hevwas lacking to go to D.C.?
