I fear my cardinals will go 11-5 and still not make the playoffs.

I fear after sinking 1300 bucks in my truck, i'll have to sink another four grand into it.

    Oh the horror!!!

    http://articles.timesofindia.indiat..._boston-marathon-sikh-temple-poll-respondents

Asked which events pose the biggest threat to the safety of average Americans, 56 percent of respondents said random acts of violence, such as mass shootings, committed by Americans; 32 percent said foreign terrorism committed by non-Americans; and 13 percent said politically or religiously motivated domestic terrorism committed by Americans.

Nearly two-thirds of respondents said they believed an incident like the Boston Marathon attack could happen in their area. A minority of respondents, 42 percent, said the Boston incident had left them more fearful for the safety of themselves and their families.

Ya, like I said you watch to much tv. Should I give you a link to where hundreds of Indians die in a stampede, huh? You better run along and troll a forum full of Indians. Jerkoff.

Your tag THERE'S A CRACK SMOKING MAYOR IN CANADA THAT HAS A HIGHER JOB APPROVAL THAN PRESIDENT OBAMA is disingenuous. Ford's approval rating is Toronto only, not all of Canads whereas Obamas is all of the US.

So the (*)(*)(*)(*) what, he still has a higher approval rating from his constitutes than President Obama has from his. Let me know when you have a point. Or better yet, let us know why you're so pathetic.

For 99.999% of Americans, the biggest threat to their lives is their straw, spoon and fork.

People may disagree with you, but I see your point.

As an American, it is clear enough to me that America experienced far too much violence.

The integration of firearms into our culture will cause many more people to die, than need to.

In Australia spitting on someone can be deemed as assult. If you are charged with spitting on someone you could possibly end up in court but a conviction would be rare.

I also live in a pretty decent neighborhood where I don't often see the police. Arizona is also an open and concealed carry state. But three years ago a guy got gunned down in his driveway three blocks from our house. I many times forget to lock my vehicle which sits in my driveway every night. But I not only keep our doors locked at night, but have steel security doors on my home which we keep locked all the time. When the weather is nice, we will keep our doors open but the security doors are always locked. You can't find them everywhere. They are sold at places like Home Depot here, but my Sister couldn't buy them there in Ohio, so the last time she visited, she took two home with her inside her minivan. Steel security doors are quite popular here in Arizona and are a great protection against anyone wanting to kick your door in, in a home invasion. It also gives you the convenience of having your home open to a nice breeze and alllowing the wife to open the door to strangers without the fear of them barging in, or attacking her. Better safe than sorry.

One of my aunts has them on her house here, but not worth the effort to me. A cousin had them installed as she aged, became a widow, and the neighborhood started going down after a Section 8 housing complex was built in her area. I don't leave my doors open, just unlocked unless I am gone.

Spitting on someone IS assault in the U.S. and they do end up convicted.

Steal security doors are a great value and can be real cheap, depending on the models you chose. Some can be as cheap as $70.00 and unlike a door, you can't kick them open. They have irreversible screws, so you can't unscrew the hinges and take them off. If someone comes to your door, you can open it and talk to them without the worry they will attack you or push their way in. You can keep your doors open to let the cool air in and not worry that someone will break in. They are a great safety feature for anyone. Most buglers will pass up a home with security doors rather than break a window. Some of the white ones, you can easily see out, but they can't see in.

You obviously live in a different America than other people. I don't know about your community, but I live where I can still leave my doors unlocked, and do allot of the time. I can pull up to any gas station in town, get out of my truck while it's still running and spend as much time as I want in the store, and not even worry. The only time I carry a gun, is during hunting season. I can go out of town and fully trust my neighbours to keep a eye out on our place, and if they need anything they know where the key is. You sure as hell don't speak for me, and many many other Americans. If you go thru life living in fear all your life, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

I believe if you let the media be your source of information on the topics mentioned, you would arrive at the same point as the OP. I live in a very conservative area yet, not one person has mentioned Duck Dynasty. I live in an area with very high gun ownership, yet no one in the 5 years I have lived here has ever expressed concerns about gun laws. What does get discussed around here. Politicians, the economy, various issues with foreign nations, and the fortunes of various professional sports teams.

Why do I mention this? When I lived in Australia, we had exactly the same conversations, for exactly the same reasons. The only thing that really changes anywhere in the world is the date and the color and name of your local sports team.

Yeah the mall was locked down for a whole 15 minutes, I bet CNN turned that into a 24 hour coverage "Unfolding Horror of New York" Fox would turn it into a three part expose of 2nd amendment rights in New York and MSNBC would re-air their investigative journalism piece "History of haircuts in the White House"

Am I going to have to post all of the school lockdowns that occur every week in every region of the US?

    Obamas approval rating is 41%

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/12/20/president-ends-year-at-all-time-cnn-polling-low/
    Fords is 42%

    http://www.torontosun.com/2013/12/10/rob-fords-approval-rating-holding-steady-forum-poll

So you are right. Ford's rating, which is only residents of the GTA is 1% higher than Obamas of the entire United States. But if Ford's approval rating was calculated using all of Canada he'd be no more than 15%.
But go ahead. Celebrate the 1% difference. Enjoy.
