Gee, two entities that are part of the federal government. My level of trust in either, especially after the last few presidencies, is about zero.

There is no terrorist threat, even from real terrorists, that can do jack **** to our country. Yeah, 9-11 was bad, but it really cannot threaten us. They get their sucker punch in, and we brush it off and move on.

Terrorism is the excuse our government, and other governments around the world use to tighten control over their citizens. That’s all it is. We live in fear, and allow ourselves to be controlled.

We are perfectly capable of dealing with terrorists without tightening government control, and without the FBI and DHS and other government entities making sweeping declarations that only further divide the country. Government agencies are tools of the government. That is all. When you can look at our politicians and honestly say that THEY are trustworthy, then we can say the agencies might be trustworthy.

I’m not knocking the honor and integrity of individual agents. I’m sure the vast majority are honorable and truly believe in what they are doing. But it’s just like in the military. When you become high enough rank, everything becomes political, and right and wrong go out the window. You become a tool of politicians.

 

The goal of terrorism is to achieve political ends through the use of violence and fear.

Racist white supremacists ARE using VIOLENCE and FEAR to terrorize MINORITY communities.

By all means, when someone is being threatened, lock up the antagonists. But don’t let our rights and freedoms be eroded in the process. One side points fingers at the other, creates the fear, and then the predatory power hungry government and their corporate backers will seize on it.
It is the government itself that is sowing the seeds of division that is inspiring these “terrorists” to appear. Don’t play their game.

lol, as far as those who stormed the capital, I suppose that is who you are referring to, sure there may be some racists, but I do not think the groups as a whole was racist or white supremacist or terrorists. Those terms get thrown around way too often. But not do I agree with them or their message. I certainly argued that they shouldn’t be locked up for life and their lives ruined.
