We've been through this. You are demonstrably wrong. The rulings specifically point out the issue is equality.

Procreation is irrelevant. You have a demonstrate a governmental interest served by the DENIAL of marriage to same sex couples. That's why you keep losing.

    - - - Updated - - -

Which you pulled from your ass. The rulings specifically discuss eaual rights, and the violation of the US constitution.

    - - - Updated - - -

I find it absolutely hilarious when you keep citing things which completely destroy your own argument.

Being a gay conservative must present a duality difficult to live with. A gay conservative man living in a conservative location must be closeted to avoid ostracism. A gay conservative man living in a progressive location must be closeted to avoid ostracism.

Before the anti-gay rights crowd starts jumping for joy after reading the title, thinking that you now have justification for discrimination, I suggest that you read the whole piece. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/john-pavlovitz/yes-homosexuality-absolutely-is-a-choice_b_7106800.html It begins with:

Now before we go on, I want to make two things clear. Although this article is admonishing those Christians who condemn gays, all of those who try to marginalize gays by claiming that being gay is a choice are doing the same thing. The second point is, that this is not a conflict between Christians and gays as many try to make it out to be. It is a conflict between those of any religious persuasion who want to discriminate and those of us-straight and gay- who believe in equality and the value of all human beings.

In another passage that is true of anyone who advocates discrimination, regardless of motive, religious or otherwise, it states:

    And ………

    I will finish with:

There is more but you get the idea. Those who seek enlightenment will read it and those who want to cling to ignorance and bigotry will ignore it. Your CHOICE

Actually I pulled about 15 quotes from In re marriage case that demonstrated my point. Get an argument if you can. Your proclamations of fact have no credibility

I've already told you that just because we accept gay marriage doesn't mean we have to accept everything, so you are just wrong.

    - - - Updated - - -

You have yet to make any kind of logical argument. Seriously.

When in fact they refuted your point.

My argument demolished yours years ago. Your very own citations demolish your claim.

    It's rucking hilarious.

For those of you who want to talk about children and same sex marriage, try this on for size. Children of gay and lesbian parents are harmed by the discrimination against their parents. The burden of proof is on the state to show why gays should not be allowed to marry.

But for those who want to place that burden of proof on the gay and lesbian people , we can deal with that too. Someone said that we should only encourage heterosexuals to marry because they are the only ones who have children. That is just bovine excrement. Gay and lesbians people do in fact have children and those children benefit from marriage of their parents:

These are children in need of permanent homes and there are not enough qualified and willing people to accommodate them. Here is more:

Get over it! Stop using children as pawns in you pathetic and failed crusade against marriage equality.

I'm not really sure how gay marriage affects the children. I can't say because I don't know anyone who was raised by gay/lesbian parents. I kind of imagine that it is kind of a lot to deal with for a child though. Of course, we all know that children can be quite cruel to one another. I don't doubt that the gay/lesbian parents are capable parents in a lot of instances, but I do wonder about how it affects a child to be raised with two moms or two dads.

Good morning. I'm sure. I have experience in the field. The respective genders of the parents are way down on the list of factors that effect the well being and development of children. I worked for many years in a state child welfare, foster care and adoption agency. New Jersey never prohibited adoption by gays and lesbian so we have a long track record in that area. In 1997, we became the first state to allow joint adoption by gay couples, long before marriage was even on the table. We have not observed any negative effects. It's not even an issue. Sure, in places, particularly the red neck states, bullying and ostracizing of kids who have same sex parents happens, and it does have an effect on them. But that is changing. There is much less tolerance for that sort of thing and in any case, you can't blame the fact that the parents are of the same gender. That is blaming the victim. In addition:

Here is more to consider. The is not credible body of evidence that indicates that having two parents of the same gender puts children at a disadvantage in any way. If there was, this sort of sleazy thing would not be necessary:

Which is of course a lie. Your procreation argument was defeated. Any 2 consenting adults defeated. What the rulings actually state defeated. You've yet to post something that's actually correct.

2 lies in one post. Well done.

Referring to some argument you have made in the past, isn't making an argument. What was so difficult to comprehend?

Of course it is. It's a reminder of the fact your argument is debunked.

Procreation, irrelevant. Any 2 consenting adults, irrelevant. What you claim the rulings state, disproved by the rulings you yourself cited.

It's really ALL the anti-SSM folks have left. They don't have any real arguments that have not been refuted and when you show them they are just like "NO, NUH UH". like a 4 year old.

Stating your conclusion that something is irrelevant, isnt an argument either. I did say get an argument, IF YOU CAN.

Another one from the peanut gallery who couldnt formulate a rational argument.

But your arguments have lost in almost every court that they've been presented in ... so your idea of a "rational" argument is very suspect , to say the least.

You're opinions are irrelevant, SSM will be legal and there isn't any argument you have come up with that hasn't been refuted. Nice try, hope you enjoy being on the losing side of history.

My arguments have probably won more such court cases since the 70s. The facts haven't changed, the courts have. And half my argument regarding "gay marriage" being unconstitutional because it excludes closely related couples has never been addressed.
Marriages limitation to men and women, that has long been recognized as being based upon heterosexual couples unique ability to procreate, has been magically transformed by the courts into an intent to "disparage and injure" homosexuals which allows them to completely avoid my arguments. The courts don't disagree with my legal arguments, they disagree with my facts.
