I don’t know. I find it hard to even think of Democrat Party in favorable light after their mayors threw so many of their own residents/voters under the bus by allowing looting and rioting to happen.
One would think responsible people who have their own businesses or jobs and who believe that public order is necessary for economy and everyday life might find it in their best interest to vote for republicans across the board.

The vast majority of people who have businesses have insurance. People look at riots like Storms or fires. They worry but it's not an obsession.

People also don't just universally go along entirely with the idea that anyone looted is a total innocent in the equation

The authorities didn't just permit riots as much as they didn't machine-gun the rioters. I remember we had much worse riots before and people didn't turn on the Democrats

In 2010 the GOP gained 61 seats in the house and 6 seats in the senate
In 1994, the GOP gained 54 seats in the house and 10 seats in the senate.
If 2018 was taking back the house in "dramatic fashion" then 2010 and 1994 were absolute asswhoopins.

In fact, 2018 the Democrats underperformed in every way.

In 1968 in Detroit alone, 43 died from the riots which began when cops lawfully raided a blind pig (after hours illegal tavern/nightclub). People did not turn on the Democrats, who had only recently (Coleman Young) been placed in power.

I was serving my country then, in the Gulf of Tonkin, and wasn't there to see who got gunned down, or what gun got used. What didn't change was the screams that cops were out of line for enforcing the Michigan law about serving after hours liquor.

 

The assumption that because the word “socialist” appeared in the party’s name and socialist words and ideas popped up in the writings and speeches of top Nazis then the Nazis must have been actual socialists is naive and ahistorical. What the evidence shows, on the contrary, is that Nazi Party leaders paid mere lip service to socialist ideals on the way to achieving their one true goal: raw, totalitarian power.

 

I think you probably find it difficult to think of Dems in a very favorable way in any circumstance anyhow.

Wells Fargo is guilty of quite a bit according to the US Courts but that's neither here nor there. I think that here all these businesses were gullty of nothing but being in the path of a human storm which was not their fault but that's what insurance is for
