I think everyone should forget the server, it doesn't matter whether it is a private commercial server or a government one. What should be investigated is how all this classified information ended up in an unclassified server or network.

There is the NIPR network, unclassified, SIPR network up to and including secret and then there are other networks that handle SAP and TS stuff. But none of these networks interface with any other. For some thing on one network to end up on another someone physically had to put it there, either typing it up or utilizing a thumb drive or something akin to that. This is what should be investigated to the max, how classified information ended up in unclassified channels or network. Hopefully, this is what the FBI is doing.

Whether the server was government or commercial is pretty much irrelevant. It would be the same crime or wrong doing to have classified information on an unclassified government computer as it is on a commercial or private one.

One last thing, if one sees classified information on an unclassified computer or in the NIPR network, it is one's duty to report it. Failure to report it is also a crime.

None of that matters, she cause it to be that top secret information was on her classified server. And she was storing it there. That's 22 felony counts.
