Are members of the gay community better adjusted, in a moral sense; than homophobes?

Gays place love above sex, while homophobes place sex above love.

Jesus would say that gays are closer to his heart than homophobes, and this shows a higher moral sense in Gays.

I am not gay, but hey, like Jesus; I can tell you homophobes that gays (all) still love you, and hope you get closer to love and Jesus someday.

Gayness is nature, not nurture. Nature and the Jesus archetype are showing us how to love more deeply.

This is a Gnostic Christian view and is in full accord with my Mother Goddess, so it must be true.

    Regards,
    DL

So you think a loving Jesus would tell his followers to discriminate against people without a just cause.

Ok. Make Jesus throw the first stone like his present garbage Christian followers do.

They rob, murder and rape in the same proportion as straights.

Domestic violence rates are higher for homosexual couples than for heterosexual couples
    https://winteryknight.com/2013/11/1...sexual-couples-than-for-heterosexual-couples/

44 percent of lesbians and 61 percent of bisexual women experience rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, compared to 35 percent of heterosexual women.
26 percent of gay men and 37 percent of bisexual men experience rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, compared to 29 percent of heterosexual men
22 percent of bisexual women have been raped by an intimate partner, compared to 9 percent of heterosexual women

The top six American male serial killers were all gay
: Donald Harvey claimed 37 victims in Kentucky; John Wayne Gacy raped and killed 33 boys in Chicago, burying them under his house and in his yard; Patrick Kearney accounted for 32, cutting his victims into small pieces after sex and leaving them in trash bags along the Los Angeles freeways.

You want is all to badmouth all sexual activity now do you?

If those gay had not been oppressed by society, they would likely have never become what they became.

Oppression without a just cause will always get someone quite angry with his society, and here you are promoting more of it.

gayness is a mixture of nature and nurture, imo, but the gnostic OP is pretty much straight on, I think

You asked the question "Are members of the gay community better adjusted"? and the answer is clearly no. Nor do my posts badmouth all sexual activity. You don't know if they were oppressed and you don't know what Jesus would say.

Jesus had no problem working with the prostitute even though she was claimed to be sinning....

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke 7:36-50

Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman

"36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

Christians really need to read their bible more...... ironically he also mentions Simon not giving him a kiss...or treating him like the prostitute did

"Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

moral of the story... don't be a simple Simon.... IE the Homophobes

Thanks. I have to agree. ;-)

I would have no clue as to how a gay person might change a heterosexual nature to a homosexual one. With wilder animals it would become even harder to show.

Sure, I can see that heterosexual who experiment with gays might move to that life style, but those temptations are always around, yet statistically, the gay population is not particularly growing.

Is that what you meant by nurture?

By 'nature', I mean genetical hard-wiring to one or the other as well as to both.

I personally think that 'nurture' can modify the hard-wiring to an extent; just how much that is possible, I have no idea.

I think the best way for me to take this post is 'tongue and cheek' , as satire on some culture wars memes as opposed to serious sober reflection on anything. Thus, I will respond with bemusement and a knowing nod at the stereotypes it intended to mock rather than ones it did may not know it was mocking.

    No eh.

    Let's begin.

Jesus said to love everyone, so the myth states.

Gays love more people than homophobes as they do not have sex above love as their prime value.

That is the superior moral position as it seeks inclusion for all.

Make your argument against this point and we can see if we can actually have a discussion..

Then check them all to see that the U.S. jails are running at better than 95% of inmates claiming a religious affiliation while only the few claim to be atheists.

IOW, atheists are better as law abiding citizens than the so called religious.

The myth shows the unjustified hate and thus the whole myth can be examined.

Seems like you won't debate unless you get to set all the rules.

Hardly a way to have a chat.

Jesus loves everyone equally, whether someone is an asshat towards gay people or not.

As for the question OP is asking: No, they are not.

I've met just as many scummy gay people as I have met those behaving like asshats to gay people.

Your sexual orientation does not affect your morality.
