I have made no such claims.
This one is true. Inside the combustion chamber to be precise.
No I'm not these are mostly your bizarre statements.

I'm glad you can't seem to address a single point I've made.

No, you do have to supply the engine with fuel.

The vehicle doesn't run on the battery is just used to create ignition.

Hello Mr. Newhart. I have been busy on other topics and did not know you are raising one hell of a fuss.
EV cars come to us in different configurations as do ICE cars.
    So you love EV cars?
Fine this is the place to address that.
Polydectes is a reasonable person and so is Jack Hayes as I am.
If you love the EV, by all means own and operate one.
I do not drive a F150 truck since I have a Cadilliac. I love that car.
My son drives his Dodge Ram PU with 400 hp and loves that.
Before that he loved his 400 hp Camaro by Chevrolet.

You do not need a fight. If you drive an EV, good for you.

Say you drive a Leaf. I hope you realize those are good for short hops. If you want long range, My suggestion is the Tesla.

My grandson has one he bought new as he was hired as an engineer at Facebook. That kid drives all over the place.

I got to this party late. I am trying to get why he is fighting with you.

By the way, an engine is fuel driven. A Motor uses electric current. I still am not clear what the problem is and I went back a number of posts trying to get a grip on the problem here.

Is this guy an eager beaver EV owner and hates the ICE?

I stated criticisms of electric cars.
Not sure what problem you are referencing.
I'm rather puzzled on that one. He misrepresented just about every one of my claims, made some rather puzzling statements. I figure he doesn't care for discussion.

You did not tell him this at all. "So, once again Polydectes claims to be able to fuel without stopping."

No, I didn't. If course you have to stop for fuel. But that isn't the same as recharging a battery.

I have to side with you on this issue. I am shocked this much is happening on the topic I started.

I agree. This should not even be an issue. I only went back so far and will dig deeper. But from what I can tell, I agree with you completely.

I think people take criticisms as suggesting that the technology should be abandoned or people shouldn't use it. I'm with you on that if people want electric cars in glad they are getting better verity. I'm not against these things existing I'm just not ready to own one.

That view point seems to trigger some folks.

Actually the lowest charge rate is recommended for battery life.
But feel free to do it your own way if you think you know better.

Yes. The statements are mutually reinforcing.

Now you claim that this thread was "to enlighten us all", and that we should "cool the jets", but you started this thread with bold giant type screaming that EVs weren't good enough.

    Really?!

This thread was not created "to enlighten us all", to me it seems like it was created to hate on EVs and the ones who own them.
No Polydectes is not reasonable. He truly hates EVs with a passion. He's so mad he cusses.
No, Jack Hays is also not reasonable. Among other things he posts about people dying in Teslas. He is also hates EVs with a passion.

So, the question is whether you are reasonable or not.
What?! I have your permission to own my own property. Wow! Thanks, Pops!

So here's the question. Are you a diehard Socialist? You act like one. I get the feeling that some of you are afraid the state will make ICE illegal. To fight this, you'all act like socialists. You badmouth EVs every chance you get and with a passion. You'all are trying to convince people that ICE shouldn't be banned because EVs are bad.

If you weren't a socialist, you'd argue that ICE shouldn't be banned because the government shouldn't be banning anything and that businesses should be able to manufacture and sell what they want to. You wouldn't act like I had to have your permission to own private property.

No, EV batteries are not cell phone batteries. No EV company recommends charging an EV slowly over a few days.

I notice how the poll I posted has kind of stayed the same. Few own EV but keep making a hell of a fuss.
My grandson has a Tesla and he likes it a lot. My daughter says she drives his car and likes it.
My grandson is also a young engineer at Facebook and they pay him one hell of a huge salary.
My son in law knocks out close to a hundred grand a year as a retired cop but his kid owns the Tesla. Funny how that worked out.

He never called EV batteries cell phone batteries. But if he does, he might talk about that.
    Do you drive a Tesla?

Do you really believe ICE vehicles don't get subsidies?

    The Car Allowance Rebate System.
    Federal Oil and Gas Leases.
    The Iraq War.
    Desert Storm.
A massive fleet to protect oil distribution.

If he says a battery needs to be slow charged to maintain lifespan, he is talking about a cell phone battery or a laptop battery. EVs do not need to be slow charged to maintain battery life. People commonly apply the rules they have for charging cell phones to the charging of EVs without understanding just how different they are. If he wants to point out an EV company that says that their EV has to charge slowly over a few days for the battery to last, I'd love to hear about it.

I am the author of this topic. The part you hate the most happens to be the title of the video you also hate.
I do not believe you are here to discuss. I think you pick fights and moan you lose them.

I am all for progress. I am not a socialist. I predicted when I was in college in 1957 that the future auto was going to be electric.
I did not think batteries would power them, I visualized the fuel cells powering them. Batteries are not great due to low energy density. But the Lithium Ion Batteries were not out in 1957 when I lauded electric cars.

I am for freedom to choose. When I constructed the poll, that should have made it clear.

You complained abut the title of the video acting as I selected the title and flew into a rage at me.
    Recap this topic.
52 voted. You were one of the minority saying you have an EV. Nobody has called you out for buying yours.
5 own them. A small minority. The way you attack, It seems you won't convert any to ev.

But I don't. I may even own one some day.

I'm just not ready for one now.
