You wasted a lot of time setting up a meaningless ad hom. Clearly, you realize you have nothing meaningful to say.
Because law enforcement, not even the FBI, chose to act when it had the opportunity. No arrests were made, therefore nothing could be done.
If it can be done, then why was nothing done regarding the individual in question? Why was the system that is in place go unused, despite numerous documented terroristic threats that were made against the public?
Let us rephrase: The left wants you to pass laws that won't work so that they can make a pretext for absolute and total gun confiscation. Now you guys can quit being like a rodent on a treadmill.
A bumper sticker is not a solution. Just for fun, let's expose this idiocy. A man goes to a bar and downs six drinks. He gets in a car and mows down an entire family in a DUI wreck. In your world of simple minded "solutions," we should ban cars. You point to a country and say they have gun control and fewer deaths, so gun control must be the answer. You don't want to talk about the real factors that might be playing a part. For example: What do those countries do with their mentally ill? If people are not dying by firearms, HOW are they dying... and at what rate (bear in mind, Japan has THREE times our suicide rate per capita.) You tried your bumper sticker argument in the "Gun Control" forum here and you're now here with the same, tired, worn out, disproven crap that you can't sell to anyone with an IQ larger than their shoe size.
I would not support a program of expanded bumper stickers. I do not believe we should ban cars. I do not believe we should ban guns. I believe we can have reasonable gun control that will meet all constitutional requirements. It is really that simple
Guns are not the root cause of peoples violence anymore than playing a record backwards when I was a kid made you hear the devil and do stupid ****. People are the problem, the gun is only a tool that can not act of its on volition.
They are a factor and to deny that is to deny the obvious. Gun control does not have to be the only solution but to suggest that it ca NEVER be a part of the plan is simply ridiculous
Ok, here's your chance. Give me the sales speech for "reasonable gun control that will meet all constitutional requirements", but make sure they don't sound anything like Voter ID laws because those are unconstitutional.
When you insist on being divisive and not getting proposals other than gun control on the table, I think that qualifies as ridiculous. The bottom line is, you'd rather see children die than stand up and DO something that would make a change without gun control. You could try something else and if it did not produce results, you could always come back to gun control, but you, me, and everybody on this board realizes you are blowing smoke and you don't give a rip about the lives of children. You're only about control.
Registration and licensing, real background checks, mandatory training, waiting periods.....all things currently being done in the US so they have not been ruled unconstitutional. We just need to do tham at the federal level.
