Pray tell. When one if engaged in the business of being an educator is there not, at least on some level, an obligation for the individual to actually educate themselves on a matter to ensure that all facts and pertinent information on the matter are had, rather than nonsense and hyperbole? If one is an educator, do they not owe it to not only themselves, but also their students, to actually be right when talking about a particular subject?

Educated women would do well to consider the true cost of their idealism. What do you make of the woman in the video? Do you think she’s uneducated? Do you disrespect her? Would you feel safer or less safe if you were in a room with her?

 

Then why not want nurses, secretaries, doctors, lawyers dancers to carry....let’s not try to control guns

 

We want anyone who has the ability and desire to be able to legally carry despite their professions.

Many nurses, secretaries, doctors and lawyers carry firearms every day already.

There are 17 million people in the US, at a minimum, carrying firearms on a daily basis.

That does not include all of the states where a license is not required.

What we do know is that people who have a license to carry a firearm commit far less crime than people who do not have a license to carry a firearm.

Your "Wild West" baloney was used in the 80's when concealed carry licenses started being issued, and it has never happened.

Where the pro gun side of the debate & the anti gun side disagree is on how we go about making it harder to get a firearm.
The anti gun group wants additional, government mandated gun bans and government confiscation of private property (i.e. banned firearms).

The pro gun group simply wants the existing 20,000 gun laws enforced which, as we have seen when knowingly ignored frequently precipitate grotesque tragedies.

The reality is that there are countless millions of firearms already throughout America, "The Genie is already out of the Bottle" and cannot be put back in.
Additionally, I imagine America's collection of violent gangs like MS 13 would be delighted to have a government mandated gun ban and subsequent Black Market opportunity from which to profit.

 

Then the best available advice that can be provided in this case is to simply get used to it.

And on the part of the post you are responding to I ask how knowing technical aspects of guns, types of bullets,trigger mechanism, gun categories... help us in a discussion about how a person confronting a psycho with an assault weapon would react? Why, in your mind, am I required to know all of this minutia before I can participate in a debate about human actions?

Please consider that anyone who is issued a CWP has undergone quite an extensive & detailed background check & is therefore among the more stable & lawful members of society.
