How is that? I'm conceding that you often can't confirm OR deny an undercover agent's identity without compromising it.

Mueller said Trump could be indicted once he leaves office... So why hasn't he been indicted now that he has left office?

An interesting note on why Pelosi puked out the word "insurrection" when it all started... She was almost giddy using that word...anything to keep Trump from running again...

    14th Amendment
    Section 3.
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

What would Epps be charged with? He said to protest peacefully. He said to march to the capitol, just like Trump did. Is he guilty of repeating Trump's words?

This is another lazy smear campaign from the right wing. Let's not forget the endless articles the days after the riot accusing the rioters of being undercover BLM/Antifa agents.

    "He said to protest peacefully."

Seriously? You don't seem informed about this issue at all. I'm finding it up and down this thread.

If the truth was harmful to Trump and his supporters the FBI would have already leaked it to the New York Times.

I think the article is referring to the Capitol building or maybe the grounds. They say he was at the rally the night before Jan 6 and there is video of him saying to go into the Capitol. Epps said in the video:

“I’m going to put it out there. I’ll probably go to jail for it. Tomorrow, we need to go into the Capitol. Into the Capitol. Peaceably! Peacefully! We are freedom, we are peaceful. That’s what its about. It’s not about hurting people.”

As Epps makes these remarks, some members of the crowd can be heard in the video chanting “fed.”

On Jan 6 the article claims he did make his way to the Capitol rally. They claim there is footage of him in a rally but that he did not go into the Capitol or engage in any violence. One video actually shows Epps as he attempts to de-escalate a fight between police and protesters.

So the article essentially claims he was on video at the rally the night before and on Jan.6 but he never entered the Capitol, (I guess they mean the building or barricaded areas). I see no video evidence of him telling people to rush the barricades during Jan. 6. If the article is correct he appears to be a peaceful protestor. If you have an article or video they states a different opinion I will gladly read or watch it.

No, she has a duty not to speak about sources and methods, and on such matters, the less said, the better.

Cruz is assuming the FBI is not acting in good faith, and there is no evidence to support that allegation, when the obvious should be assumed, UNLESS there is evidence otherwise, which there is not.

And why is Cruz, et al, doing this? Because they can't stand the fact that the 1/6 committee is making Cruz and his ilk look bad. It's a tit for tat, thing.

Because the denial itself might identify him anyway. This is more of a danger with spies but sometimes applies to undercover people

It's a known thing that the FBI is investigating the Jan 6th riots, and as such they do not comment on who is and who is not an informant while there is an ongoing investigation

"It was a clown show, not an “insurrection,” and given how the Whitmer kidnap “plot” story has unfolded it’s hardly crazy to suggest that the FBI or some other government agency played a dishonorable role here. Indeed, the past few years have revealed one government agency after another playing a dishonorable role."

If there are FBI moles/informants with said groups who are essentially politically or socially protected, then we cannot call it a equal society under law. They should be able to say no authoritatively. That they can't, means yes we presume there were in fact moles and informants. That's called deductive reasoning. If we accept the FBI with gestapo-like powers and authorities, then Biden already lost his self proclaimed "battle" before it started.

There haven’t been any FBI informants identified. To answer your question we have to first assume there were FBI informants present. As of now there is an ongoing FBI investigation on the Jan 6th riot, and as long as this investigation is ongoing, we cannot expect the FBI themselves to comment on whether or not there were any informants present

And of course the problem comes in when it is the agent himself suggesting violence that's called entrapment and was determine to unconstitutional roughly sixty years ago.

When the deputy for the DOJ says "I cannot comment on sources or methods" and she says "I am aware of him" and then says "I cannot answer that question" when specifically asked about him being associated with the FBI, it makes a pretty strong case that she just admitted that he does, or was working for the FBI at the time. It also begs the question of why given that he's been video taped explicitly inciting, why the FBI choose to not disclose the disposition of his current changes. Folks know plants when they see them. He was obviously a plant and the FBI now looks like they were actively inciting the riot that then ensued.

This is but one of the very troubling episodes that seem to involve the FBI purposefully provoking crime.
