The problem is, they rarely do. The majority are 52 year old men who no longer have any personal pulling power, so have resorted to props. The prop doesn't hide the lack. In fact it highlights it, IMHO. To my way of thinking, it's only 52 year old men who imagine they're still in the youth game would bother with a prop anyway. They're the equivalent of 52 year old women who still truck sex appeal as expressed by 25 year olds, because they imagine they're still somehow in the 'head turning' market place. Funny stuff to watch. My girlfriends and I adore cougar watching. Male & female versions.
Having said that, I'd rather have a 60 year old super fit (as in marathon runner fit, not body builder fit) dude with silver hair, than an unfit 45 year old with dyed hair. Any day.
If those men would just freakin' get some exercise one in a while they would still be in the heat turning market!! LOL!! AA
Not for me, thanks. I find gay men as attractive as females. I don't mean to suggest they look or behave as such, but simply that without a sex drive (for my own kind) they are 'impotent'. The biggest burliest manliest gay man registers in my mind as sexless. I wouldn't drink river water anywhere in the world. Giardia isn't funny. I boil for a full ten minutes AND use tabs/purifier. And that's in the 'clean' alpine areas. In lowlands I simply don't use river/lake water at all. I'd rather hike in what I need and only stay a couple of days.

No, they really wouldn't. Mature sexuality doesn't operate that way. It's less about the eye candy (though eye candy is still enjoyed) and far more about character. Physical fitness being a manifestation of character, etc. Any 52 year old (male or female) who imagines themselves eye candy in the same way 25 year olds are, is delusional - with respect.
Running water doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. That's a furphy. I'd have thought with your military training you'd be super scrupulous about water. Every ex-soldier I know who does wilderness camping is positively OCD about it
Of course I will not drink water in nature if I can help it. But if I had to the best place to get the cleanest and most microbe free water possible if from a mountain stream as the rock and sand filters it. And I ALWAYS carry sanitation tablets with me. AA

Too busy drinking caffeine to bother with beer. Been trying to drink more though, since light drinkers live longer and then I can consume even more caffeine. 2 or 3. I use the Trump method. Get born with advantages, use that advantage to exploit people, and pretend it was really because of how awesome I am.
I was always told, and believe its true, that intestinal microbes is only a serious problem in stagnant or semi-stagnant water. I drink out of mountain streams all the time. I never have gotten sick. However a friend of mine drank out of a stagnant river pool, and lost about 30 pounds in about 10 days before the dumbass finally went to the doctor. In Alaska, we call the disease you get from drinking bad water--Beaver Fever. If there is evidence that a beaver has been around, you can bet there is the chance of getting sick.
I've always wanted to see a real beaver, but we don't have any in Texas. I'm actually more of an assman, but I can't ignore a great rack.
There are lots of them in Alaska which might be a good place for you except there are way more men than women up there.--at least there used to be when I was up there.
I used to train members of the U.S. Military in Arctic Survival up there. Alaska is MAN'S COUNTRY!! No place for a woman. AA
You can't be serious about Alaska being no place for a woman. One of my favorite things to do in Alaska was going camping in the snow. I didn't need survival training. The blackberry brandy provided all the "survival" I needed. A few years ago, this woman went camping in the Olympic Mountains by herself for ten days. I just wanted to see if I could do it. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

You know although I fully support equal rights for women there are just somethings that I KNOW women are not capable of in the same way I KNOW there are some things that women are capable of that I am not. And one of those things is spending any amount of time in the true Alaskan Wilderness. Such survival is for experts only and certainly not for women. AA
