Any crime which is committed with any motive other than a religious one (ex. the Crusades, the Inquisition, etc), such as any of the numerous and random murder or rape cases you hear on the news, is committed with a secular (non-religious) motive, therefore atheism is responsible for many, many more murders and crimes than all religions - not even counting the genocides of Communist dictators like Stalin and Mao.

Now there is some twisted logic. You are confusing the term atheism with crimes that are not religiously motivated. Crimes that are not religiously motivated can be commited by religious people as well as non religious people. Think it through. You'll get there.

But the motivation for the crimes is a secular (atheistic) motive, not a religious one. So even when religious people commit secularily motivated crimes, they are committing them in the name of secularism, not religion.

No, that's incredibly messed up logic. People aren't doing it in the name of Athetism, just because I robbed my neighbor, doesn't mean I did it because he's a Christian and I'm an athetist.

Does that also apply for every good deed too? Unless the good deed was specifically unique to some religion, which most good deeds religious people do, are not, of course.

Mao, Stalin et al didn't do what they did in the name of Atheism but for a political idealology.

Most Khmer Rouge were still Theravada Buddhists as were the Pathet Lao. Did the Khmer Rouge and Pathet Laos do what they did in the name of Buddhism?

    I have asked this in every thread concerning this laughable argument;

Where is the atheist doctrine that commands death?

Please refrain from posting on the subject until you find it.

Self worshipped only need to be seeking power. Their doctrine is whatever they say. A doctrine would actually help prevent such abuse.

Where is the atheist doctrine that makes murder, or anything else for that matter, unacceptable?

    Use your brains athtards.

There is no such thing as an atheist doctrine. The Golden Rule is a moral code that billions of people, religious and non-religious, live by.

Atheists do not apologize for being human, and that is self worship?

The Invisible Pink Panda is real! <---- this is a doctrine?

    Logic on crack here.

In bold - thank you for admitting (after what? 2 years?) that atheism does not have a doctrine. If Atheism did, you would NOT be asking where it is.

It's worse than that. Christians have MORALS and ETHICS which prevent and punish us from stealing. Atheists don't. Atheism cannot validate any type of punishment for the thief. Christians and other religious people, can. Atheists have no reason not to steal, except that they will get punished by CHRISTIAN morals, laws, and judgment.

Conclusion? Atheists are closer to animals, and act purely on instinct and irrationality, without thinking things through.

Athetists have morals. You don't need to be religious to have morals. And irrationality, religions have some irrational parts. For instance, when Jesus Christ comes back in the second coming, that's asking for a guy who's been dead for the last 2000 years to come back from the dead.

I can agree to that if you will grant that any accomplishment that is not motivated by religion is also the result of atheism. In that case, atheism has contributed to the quality of life for humans far more than any religion ever has. Fair trade as far as I'm concerned.

I think what you meant to say is majority of crimes are not religiously inspired/motivated?

People don't commit those crimes because of their disbelief (or belief) of God - in most cases.

Yes, you do have to be religious to have morals. Atheists do NOT have morals.

How can an atheist justify the use of the death penalty without GOD? He can't. Only GOD is capable of judging whether a man ought to live or die. Atheism is about taking God's power out of His hands, and trying to apply judgment himself. What's the problem with atheism? You atheists believe you have the power of God, when you don't. Man is prone to error and mistake, GOD is not.

Do you want a man walking around with a gun, deciding who lives and dies, like the Batman theater shooter?????????? That's atheism in a nutshell.

In Christianity, it is WRONG to kill, and the Batman shooter is EVIL, and will burn in Hell for his sins. Atheism has no morality or ethics to deal with the Batman shooter. An atheist must let him go, and not jail him. Atheism cannot decide who lives or dies, or, the Batman shooter has every "right" to do what he did. Morals and ethics are purely CHRISTIAN, never atheist.
