Clinton was impeached for committing well-known felonies with the attendant offenses of flat out lying to the public to their face and affecting public trust, and of disgracing the office of the president for real, not for rumor and reverie. Neither the Birthers and especially nor the Tea Party made any effort whatsoever to remove Obama from office. Talk of impeachment was banned in the halls of congress by Republican leaders.
