Right now a different approach to debating guns is on display.By Breitbart member,Ben Shapiro. He is using a philosophical approach.Exactly the approach I felt was necessary by Alex Jones. Yet Jones preferred his " Hillbilly Approach " which does in fact generate hysteria and ratings.But Jones' approach will no doubt do nothing to convert any Liberals or Piers lemmings. Jones had an opportunity to convert non-believers but chose to be more a Wild West show. I think Mr.Shapiro did a yeomans' job of making the points Alex Jones, who I like,failed to make. That Piers Morgan and Liberals alike are merely taking a convenient opportunity to again demogogue an Issue,an issue that naturally is cherished by most all good Republicans and Conservatives. A quite impressive Interview that reaped a few important results. Shapiro or Mighty Ben managed to have Morgan say a few things that could easily pigeonhole Piers further as a snooty Anti-american. When Shapiro in the throes of hearty debate handed over to Morgan as a gift a small book and suggested he should read it,it's the Constitution. Later on Morgan,feeling insulted over who knows what got snooty saying : " You come in here,brandish your little book as if I don't know what's in there " " My little book? That's the Constitution of the United States.It's our founding document,Piers " retorted the very aggressive and fast-talking Shapiro. One can be aggressive and also manage to trip up Morgan,in order to demonstrate as Shapiro did,just who are the real Bullies in this fight over guns. The way to take a liberal down in a debate is to use logic. It dissolves their emotional reasoning like magic. You can see it here at PF on a daily basis. When you see a liberal acting like an idiot, backtrack a post or two and you will often see them challenged with logic.
There are radical extremists on both sides of the "gun" issue that distort the issue completely. Dispite the extremist "pro-gun" postion President Obama does not oppose the Right to Keep and Bear Arms nor do most liberals oppose the 2nd Amendment. There are some extremists, such as Piers Morgan, that may advocate against the Right to Keep and Bear Arms but they are a part of the extremist group of liberals. At the sametime we see extremists on from the pro-gun side such as those that signed a petition to have Piers Morgan deported for exercising the First Amendment's protected Right of Freedom of Speech. I would argue that there is no point for the 2nd Amendment if it's not to protect our other Rights such as Freedom of Speech. A person cannot logically support the 2nd Amendment while opposing the 1st Amendment as that is nothing but hypocracy. I also see absurd position from both sides of the issue. Banning firearms based upon appearance or limiting the magazine capacity will do nothing to prevent gun violence nor would it reduce the number of victims of gun violence. At the sametime putting armed police officers in our schools won't reduce mass killings or the number of victims of gun violence either. Both are stupid proposals coming from the extremist elements on both sides of the issue. There are effective steps that can be taken of course. Providing a better process for identifying those that would commit heinous acts like mass killings because of mental instability so that they can be treated (and denied the Right to Keep and Bear Arms based upon a decision from the court) can reduce the problem of gun violence, We can also address the general culture of violence in the United States and that would be effective but the violence starts well before someone would commit acts of murder. Child abuse, spousal abuse, and animal cruelty are all symptoms of the culture of violence we have today in America and all of those contribute to the eventual acts of murder by some in our society.

Which begs the question as to why the NRA is upset with their meeting with Biden yesterday.Because there was little to NO focus paid to steps in order to prevent another Sandy Hook.Plus it was more a lecture exercise by Biden asking the questions. Meaning,Biden was NOT doing as originally intended.Setting up a Task Force to curb gun violence ala a Sandy Hook.It was used to feel out ways to eliminate gun ownership,pure and simple. Our Government and especially this current WH are Liars. Just like the Debt Commission { Simpson-Bowles }. It was set up to give Obama wiggle room as if he cares about our Debt.Obama IGNORED the findings in Simpson-Bowles.Mitch McConnell explained it on - Meet the Press -.So it's not me saying it.Obama has also purposedly refused to even use the word debt up until the contrives use of our " Fiscal Cliff ".When asked on Letterman about our debt and where it stands last spring,Obama acted dumbfounded.He didn't know where our National Debt stood and acted as if he could care less.He has governed as if he could care less.Obama has outspent all presidents before him combined up to George Bush.
