The same could be said of the hydro electric power bussiness of the '20s and '30s. You think that the TVA, Hoover Dam or the Grand Coulée Dam was built without tax payer dollars? How about the Interstate Highway System.....Socialism on display for the ages.

 

It's a case against socialism. When government moves into privste business and in essence becomes a partner there is no more incentive for profit as there is in capitalism and tax payer dollars fund failing businesses.

 

Funding huge projects for the good of the country is far different than becoming a partner in a failed business that could never sustain itself without tax dollars being infused

 

You need to find some relevant, propaganda and rhetoric.

 

I think before we jump to conclusions judging Bernie Sanders, we should look at first of all how much he and his wife make. He has made over one hundred thousand dollars a year for several years now. His wife was president of multiple colleges. Yes they have money, and they bought a new house. I think he made the smart choice. He had no chance of winning the election. His refusal to run a negative campaign definitely hurt him overall. He made it clear from the beginning that he would endorse Hillary over Trump. He sees Donald Trump as a greater threat to America. He would rather a career criminal who won't change much than a racist, bigoted, bully. Hillary will at least give ground on issues if people show they care, she wants to be elected and will do whatever the majority wants her to. Trump is only out for Trump. Whatever perks Bernie may have gotten from endorsing Hillary are his to spend. He may believe in a socialist system, but thats no reason for him not to act like any other capitalist in this system. Theres no reason he should abstain just to subsidize anyone elses lack of willingness to behave in a socialist manner.

1) You can spend your money as you like.

2) Bernie is not a 'pure' socialist. Pure socialist countries are (*)(*)(*)(*)holes and everyone but idealistic self-identifying marxists knows this to be true.

3) In fact, there is no pure system in the civilized world. Socialism and capitalism exist in a mix across Europe and North America. That's why Norway works and Venezuela does not.

There is no better system than the western system.
