I have been using the channel Music Choice: Soundscapes as background music for dates, for over five years now. More and more I find myself turning to Soundscapes while just relaxing, just to cut the noise. I don't like everything they run but I do like most of it. And the women I date usually end up getting hooked on it as well. I'm always open to playing whatever they like and I constantly offer to turn on anything from jazz to EDM. But once they hear a bit of Soundscapes, they usually want to keep it there. They also run a continuous stream of highly inspirational or insightful quotes from people of note. They can be quite engaging to just sit and read as the music plays. More than a few times this has happened on dates. They suck you in! Their playlist seems to be theme driven. Some nights have the sound of music from Asia, with lots of wood flute, for example. Other nights it can range from a bit of an Irish sound, to Enya, or even space-themed songs. One song that surprised me is called Peace on Saturn. It has a country sound, complete with the beat of horse hooves and a slide guitar, which is strange given that the subject is Saturn. LOL. But for some reason, it works. Makes me laugh every time!
