The "Public Health Service Commissioned Corps" isn't part of a military branch, right?. And I don't think this individual was ever "promoted through the ranks", they were simply appointed as a "4-Star Admiral", so it sounds like a pretty meaningless title to me.

Jenner is a broken individual as well. Don't make the mistake thinking I'm being bias in thought. While I agree with some of Jenner's politics it doesn't mean I don't think that he's suffering from a mental disorder with regards to the reality of his identity.

It's a disorder and they make the choice of how to live with it. Most make changes to how their mind perceives them.

 

And that's fine. But we should not promote this as a "normal" as something someone who is normal should be encouraged or promoted to emulating. Biden promoting someone with a disorder to a high/visible position is an embarrassment and a sign of weakness of our society and our country.

Young teenage girls are the most common demographic to take a knife, scissors, or a razor blade and drag it across the skin of their forearm or thigh. A girl I dated did it as a teenager, she described it as a sort of compulsion very much akin to dysphoria. That nothing would be right without doing it.
It was her body. Her choice. This wasn't a suicide attempt. So: Do we allow a minor child to drag a razor blade across their skin making a long cut because "their body their choice" or does it not extend quite so far?

Military is often the best way to deliver disaster relief. In fact, I've often wondered why our tech-bloated military isn't kept busy more this way. It would justify more military expenditures in most people's eyes, which would satisfy conservatives, and concomitantly put most of that money into hiring people rather than buying more machines we don't need.
