"Biden currently holds a job rating of 48% approve and 43% disapprove. This is down from his 54% approve and 41% disapprove rating in April. The president gets a positive rating from 86% of Democrats (down from 95%), 36% of independents (down from 47%), and 19% of Republicans (up from 11%). Prior Biden approval levels registered 51% in March and 54% in January." Approve 48% - Disapprove 43% https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/reports/monmouthpoll_US_061621/ Approve 48% - Disapprove 45% https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/1oyiu6tamw/econTabReport.pdf Approve 49-50% - Disapprove 48-49% https://www.rasmussenreports.com/pu...n_administration/biden_approval_index_history Rationales 1) Polls show people are facing inflation and unemployment. Inflation for food items are up significantly. 2) Polls demonstrate that China is bigger threat than Russia. 40-44% of voters think China is the biggest threat. Democrats choose Russia over China by a decent margin. 3) Clearly, Biden did not have a good foreign policy trip. The guy got laughed at everywhere he went. He got so frustrated that he snapped at a CNN reporter. 4) Congress has ground to a halt, putting the administration's legislative agenda at risk. This shows up in the polls. 5) Lab-leak Denial has turned those arguing against it into clowns, and Democrats are getting punked by Jon Stewart. The media's faith in Fauci is steadily eroding trust in American journalism, as people become more aware of the e-mails. 6) The future isn't looking good. Word on Wall and Main Street is that the economy is heading for a major downturn. It's already happening in other countries. Supply Chain issues due to the shutdown have raised commodity prices, which is causing more supply chain issues in areas where companies have had to scale back operations. It will only take a 2.5% swing to put Biden approval ratings underwater. Obviously, Democrats need to change their course, because their focus on Trump doesn't change the fact that Biden continues to demonstrate his mental fragility.
Point 6. Pretty much proves this isn’t an issue with the administration. It also suggests a quick rebound as the global supply chain recovers.
First, Biden's approval rating is 51.7%. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/ Second, if the approval rating is indicative of the President's mental stability, how does it qualify Trump's, which was at 38.7% at the same time in 2017?
Hell, Democrats chose white supremacy and global warming (depending on which day one looks at) over both Russia and China.
I'd have agreed with you, if Democrats hadn't abused the political process during the pandemic. They shutdown states way longer than necessary, and supported riots that violated safety guidelines despite cracking down on other forms of first amendment freedoms. They lost hundreds of thousands of businesses, resulting in less demand, and naturally, the producers decreased supply to certain areas. Therefore, prices are going to keep rising as people continue migrating out of the urban and suburban metropolitan areas in blue states. There are also major businesses that are closing down due to rampant theft and crime around at their stores. If you lose 17 WalGreens locations, the price for goods will keep rising. We're watching countries build pipelines right now so they can become less dependent on supply-chain issues, and so I can blame the administration for making that boneheaded decision to stop natural gas pipelines. We need that **** to make hubs and ports more efficient. You also got the government constantly printing money that they constantly, and sometimes quietly, inject into the economy. And this is not going to be a quick rebound. There's several dozen humanitarian crises around the world. I haven't heard a peep from the liberal press about Myanmar, Lebanon, or the many African countries. The places that provide us resources are experiencing starvation, mass killings, and displacement. Also, new strains of Covid-19 are popping up in Russia, UK, and India. I don't know if this is completely accurate, but people are relapsing from Covid even when they've been vaccinated. There's so many problems heading towards this administration that require them to move fast, but they can't even get a bill passed. That's not their fault?
The thread clearly states that I'm talking about polls after the Summit, so check your dates. Also, I'm not including absurd polls like Harris and Morning Consult. They have never accurately reflected the approval numbers. They did studies on the 2020 election and favorability polls, and found that pollsters with Biden up 55-42 or greater margins had samples that were absurdly Democratic with Biden favorables way too high. These errors have been acknowledged. Trump's approval ratings were clearly false indicators of his popularity, as some of these pollster had his favorability at approve 38-42 and disapprove 55-60. All them magically drifted closer to something more reasonable two weeks before the general election. The results were 51-47, and I had it at 51- 48/49% on election night. These pollsters were obviously manufacturing consent. Democrats constantly complain about Republican pollsters, but Democrat polls contain the most egregious errors. Can you honestly say thatRasmussen consistently 15-25 points off in a favorability or approval poll? I'd like to see it.
Just imagine if the MSM was treating Biden like Trump. I’m sure his approval numbers would be on the tank too. When it’s a blanket of gloried adoration 24/7 being overjoyed Biden can just string 2 sentences together without having a senior moment, something is up. He went off on a reporter and it’s been mostly silent. When Trump quarreled with anyone it was 24/7 panic of evil, the very bad orange man hates female reporters and all women, evil orange man….bad. Where’s Acosta yelling and screaming in the press room every day?
So if the polls were wrong during Trump's time but have miraculously become accurate in gauging Biden's popularity, I'd say we'll wait until the 2024 elections to get to the bottom of it. In the meantime, I would only say that when a President is approved by only 43% of the voters, he is not re-elected. Which was the case with Trump. This shows that the polls were not so wrong.
538 said the polls were wrong. That was your source, correct? Dude... just stop. The polls outrageously over-estimates Democrats, and that's indicated by the wild spread in the averaging graph. Since the polls have had a clear bias towards Democrats, then those poll numbers would be worse than I suggested. This does not mean that I think they're accurate. I'm just reading the polls, and analyzing with the information that was gleaned from the 2020 election. The only reason 538 came close is cause the Republican firms had Trump over 50%, but I was skeptical at the time. It wasn't 15-25 points off until election day.
It's true that the elections were closer than the polls predicted. But the good news for a Democrat like me is that the Liberal ranks are growing every year and if the trend continues, it will be almost impossible for a Republican to win the WH in 6-8 years.
Looking at the methodology, the 810 adults surveyed is not an accurate reflection of "Americans" This group represents those who have nothing better to do than answer unidentified calls and take phone surveys. Those with successful careers and relationships are underrepresented. 281 were on landlines. For those too young to know what a landline is, it is an old fashioned communication device for those who enjoy robo-calls and scammer calls from India. .
Which is an arbitrary cutoff point selected by you. Meaningless and deceitful. I looked through one, and found no questions related to the summit. I'm not going to look further. If there is something relevant to the summit in these polls, please present it.
You pays your money and you gets your results. I don't doubt someone could come up with a poll showing 51% of respondents support human sacrifice.
Surveys are great. I surveyed many people who had played Russian roulette Seems like the probability of dying is actually 0%
All this shows is he’s not being liberal enough for democrats. So unless someone challenges his him from left, he’s fine.
WTF would they do that?? One of them is currently doing a fine job, the other is a corrupt POS. Also, Joe apologized by the time he got to the airport... Self awareness not lardass's strong suit...
Did you miss the press conference where he apologized to that reporter? I didn't think so, you just want to ignore it for the sake of your weak argument. The orange man would never do that.......in fact, the thought would never occur to him.
Rasmussen has Biden at 51% and Ipsos has him at 52%. Looks like the summit has had no impact on his ongoing high popularity.
Nor should it have... by comparison to recent summits, this has to be considered pretty successful... By comparison to Helsinki 2018, this is an Indy car vs a Prius.... Unless Joe tweeted that there is no longer a nuclear threat by Russia?? (He didn't, did he?)
Lol. Just to be clear. The entire world has infections and deaths from a pandemic, and it's Trumps fault. The entire world has economic issues from a pandemic and Biden gets a pass. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Biden is to blame for what's coming economically, just pointing out he blatant hypocrisy of the left.
Biden has the difficult job of trying to repair US alliances in Europe & Asia. Trump trashed both in pursuit of....well that has never been clear, but it wasn't the best interests of the US. America needs allies to take on China & Russia. It is telling that some of the first things Biden did was reach out to major US allies or potential allies in Asia. The sigh of relief in the region was palpable. Even governments that were ideologically well disposed to Trump understood that strategically he was a disaster. Now Biden has to do the same in Europe. While reports have not been universally positive, it seems that overall he has done well. Just behaving like a grown up will be a massive improvement. You only have to follow the Putinistas on this board to know that Putin is not happy about Trump going. Even Xi, who clashed with Trump, knew that an authoritarian buffoon with a weakness for flattery & a tendency to alienate allies help Beijing's aims. Joe is undoing that damage Trump did and Trumpers just can't tolerate that.
I posted the RCP average, he has been going down since he was inaugurated and here his most important week yet, out on the world stage and a total fail look at the drop.
