They are, the state has no 'legitimate' legal jurisdiction over the fetus until a birth cert is drawn up. UNtil then it does not exist.

I know that health is part of welfare. If you want to claim you don't know that, then feel free, but that would make you the only person on the planet who doesn't.

It means that public health is part of public welfare. If your life tomorrow does not change at all, except that you become less healthy than you were the day before, then your welfare has gone down. You are the only person on the planet pretending you can't understand this.

You claimed they just "fund things." That's incorrect. What is it they do or fund that you don't like?
The federal government should be involved? Is that what you're saying? They decide what is an illegal import?
Well, you have some interesting ideas, but you don't seem to have done much more than blue sky them.
You must have money. Increasing numbers of Americans need government to work for them because many of them have declining real incomes. They don't want you to cancel or reduce social welfare programs like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, student loans, public schools or vouchers. They're living close to the margin.

I think it would be a fair argument to say that responding to a pandemic, or epidemic falls under "provide for general welfare", since pandemic / epidemic would affect the nation as whole. As a matter of fact I think its a textbook example of that would fall under it. If not that, when what would fall under it?

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States"

    Oh?
Sorry, theres no people in there.
If you are correct then I shouldnt have to pay premiums and doctors bills, so its clear you really do not understand what it means.

How is it required to pay all of your bills in order to promote general welfare?

As soon as you're born, we should look toward protecting you.

Not really. That's only true if the spending on your health would be a net gain. Which you haven't shown. Just like you haven't shown . . . well, any of your claims.

No, buddy, I've addressed your claim. And I will do so again. If you can find a single economist who backs up your claim that it would be better for the general welfare of the country to have all of your bills paid for you, I'll entertain your claim. I'm waiting.

    So this is commercial then?
Im still trying to figure out wth you were talking about, I asked very specific questions, and you failed to articulate.

you used my health as an example and I know thats pure BS as I said, so we now play footsie until you can come up with something useable.
No the above response does not address my questions.

Economic efficiencies do matter when it comes to welfare. If you can't understand that, you have a lot of learning to do before we continue.

I've explained the flaws in your questions. Learn.

You cant explain what you dont know.
I asked you for the scope, when I said pay my bills you said not economical, so why not tell us now what the scope of this general welfare is so those who dont know learn something?

You claimed that it would be a net welfare benefit for the nation if we paid your bills. You failed to establish that. And you will fail again.
