    The Democratic leadership is concerned because they don't think Kamala is going to be able to get those swing votes, even though she will energize support from the core voter base.

    Do you mean she will get Trump elected, or she will be like Trump herself?

    In either case I don't see that as happening. Her record in Congress is not at all Trumpesque and she hasn't got a lot of the baggage the others have, even including Biden

    Sixteen months is a long time in politics. Think what might happen in sixteen months.....
    • A candidate or incumbent could become ill or die.
    • Trump could resign or be impeached.
    • A completely new candidate might emerge.
    • The economy could nosedive.
    • America could get involved in a war.
    • The Mueller Report and where that goes is unknown.
    • Many candidates will fall out.
    • Etc.

    Kind of thinking that she might as well go all in with the "Progressive/Identity" thing and pick Castro.

    The Black Vote (alone) will flip MI and WI.

    Castro on the ticket should give her some help in places that have newly registered Latinos.

    In places like PA, Harris should do fine with Castro as VP.
