Bidenomics Is Folly, Here Are Some Facts

If you were generous, you would give Joe a solid D or about the same grade he got in law school. This Presidency is a disaster and the only reason Jimmy Carter is hanging tough. Two facts Biden, Harris, and Karine Jean-Pierre fall back on when discussing the economy are job and pay growth. Both need asterisks and disclaimers. The 13 million new jobs include the 12 million lost during the Pandemic. You cannot claim new job creation when people return to their pre-COVID positions. When inflation falls back to Earth from a nearly double-digit high, the modest rise in hourly rates is not keeping pace with inflation. Much of the rate increase comes from continued jumps in the minimum wage. These minimum wage increases harm small business owners the most, resulting in rising costs or businesses closing. These added costs add to inflation, and the lousy cycle continues. This is life in the real world, and why nobody is buying into Bidenomics...

Bidenomics is a complete and total failure. It and the man behind it have absolutely no redeeming value. Inflation, regulation, and slow growth are the consequences of the Biden Presidency. He’s the worst President of all time.

 

Bidenomics is creating two Americas. An economically growing red states and red areas and a sagging budget deficit, crime ridden, economic recession blue states.

For decades, liberals loved to gloat about the economic productivity of blue states, characterizing red America as a backward and culturally insignificant relic that had to be subsidized by the far more advanced and profitable sectors of the country. It was never a very factual argument, as much of the subsidies provided to red states were agricultural and served to drive down the cost of food across the country, but progressive journalists and pundits love to sneer at their lessers and rarely think about where their food comes from. What is now beyond debate is that the economic power in the United States is shifting south, as a report from Bloomberg recently revealed. Over 2 million people moved to the South over the last two years, taking $100 billion in wealth with them, and that migration is reshaping the economic landscape of the nation.




According to the report, the collective economic power of six states in the Southeast — Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee — now contribute more to GDP than the Northeastern states. This shift in economic dominance occurred during the COVID pandemic, and the trend has shown no sign of slowing down.

The metropolitan areas of the South are booming as the region dominates the rest of the nation in job growth. Real estate prices have skyrocketed, and new construction has risen rapidly as housing markets seek to keep up with the increased demand in red America. Ironically it is largely not progressives who are moving from the north east to the south east and Texas.

 

The fact is though that the red areas are now growing, the 5 southeastern states and Texas have greater economic value than the 6 Washington DC to Boston corridor states. The northeast and big city Great Lakes areas are living off the fumes of past glory now.

 

And yet, California has the 5th highest GDP in the world. Not the country, but the entire world. California pays more into the federal coffers than any other state, money that largely goes to support programs for the poor in southern states like Mississippi and Alabama. Plus, a lot of those tax dollars come from illegal immigrants, who pay into programs like Medicare and Social Security through their employers, but are not eligible to ever benefit from it.

People go where the jobs are, and that's a cyclical phenomenon. A decade or two from now, we could see a reversal of the current trend. You may like to think that it's political, that Americans are turning conservative and desire to live in red states, but it isn't about that.

The Biden admin doesn't have an economic plan. It does a heck of a lot of absolutely stupid economic moves for purely partisan political reasons. That is not good and it is definitely holding us back.

 

Unemployment is near an all time low.

Labor participation among working aged people is near an all time high.

The US dollar is strong relative to other currencies.

Oil prices are about the same as they were 15 years ago.

 

As a life long Californian, a fourth generation one, California is blessed with a lot of excellent geography, resources, weather, souls, etc... It is very hard to screw up a winning hand yet our retarded one party state is managing to do just that. Because we were geographically born on 3rd base it takes a lot to screw it up but Democrats have been trying their damnest to do just that.

A one-party state, since when? I was born and raised there, too. It's had several notable Republican governors, as well as occasionally Republican majorities in the state legislature. It's very cyclical, varied as to party affiliation, and the political climate swings in all directions.
